Kirkendall
Thus, the contract he agreed to next season would have no where near the $7.7 million in guaranteed money.Where did you see that the Bengals offered him $7.7 million in guaranteed money? We're going to find out the exact difference between Pollack's demands and the Bengals offer within the next 24-hours...PS, all of those blaming the Bengals could be right.... Developing. <stalks off the board to find kirk and slap him silly until he talks> I have sources now... step aside Geoff, there's a new sheriff in town. (just kiddin', 'butch') So give already. You got the skinny, spill it! Here you go. http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...090370/1066/SPTThe difference between having Pollack in camp or at his offseason home in Georgia is $300,000 to $400,000, sources tell The Enquirer. Pollack's agents, Ken Kremer and Tom Condon, want it guaranteed. The Bengals don't. Otherwise, for the most part, the two sides have agreed on a five-year contract worth more than $9.5 million. Ahhhh...kissing up to Curnutte, eh? That jibes with what Hobson hints at in his write-up on the James deal, namely that the Bengals wanted to guarantee a little less than $7 million while Pollack's side wanted a bit more than $7 million guaranteed.Reports of the James deal's guarantees and totals would indicate that the Bengals ought to have given in...they would have gotten off cheaper. Scottishbengal
Not to mention what he thinks of Mexicans, homosexuals and southerners. Would this include his views on homosexuals from southern Mexico?
markymark69
I just found the site as well and hope to enjoy some Bengal chat. My feeling on the Pollack holdout is on the side of the Bengals. Although I think a guy should get as much as he can, I think the agent is only thinking about Pollack in the short term and not the long term. I have seen lengthy holdouts ruin careers, I hope that is not the case with Pollack, but the time he is missing he can never get back. The fact that he is learning a new position he needs to be in camp.I read the comments of Ricky Hundley (the ultimate holdout) and he said if he had to do it over again he would have been in camp and not had an agent. Quotes like that make a big impression on me. Hundley clearly feels his holdout was a mistake and is hoping that the same doesn't happen with Pollack. After all, with the millions he is going to make, is a few thousands bucks really worth holding out for and potentially crippling your career? If he loves football, as he says he does, then he needs to be in camp and sign the deal. If the agent doesn't get clients for the next year, too bad, so sad. ArmyBengal
Secondly, I've got 200 really good seats reserved in heaven, so let me know if you want in on that...a lot of guys here are on the bubble, so we have plenty of room I need in on this... Something tells me if I don't jump on this, I might be forced into hell to watch "The 1990's-Bengals Football Follies" on a never ending loop...What's the going rate ??? WHODEY !!! My seats aren't all together so, of course, they don't all cost the same...I have some sweet box seats which overlook the pearly gates if you're into seeing who made it in and who didn't.I have some at the 50 yard line of the Throne Room which are right next to Billy Graham's season tickets, but you have to watch your language, 'cause in Heaven he's a ninjaI do have some great seats right at Streets of Gold level, but right behind you are a few rows of abusive nuns, and probably not the kind of abuse you may be hoping for..I've got some endzone seats by the Lamb's Book, but you're behind a row of pope's who got to bring their hats, so your view may be obstructed...And I've got some nose bleed seats by the River of Life where the disciples hang out 'cause they can knock 'em back and get roudy without getting in trouble
R-U-D-I
I think God just read your post and rescinded your 200 seats - then gave you 20 back for humor... Yes, God has a great sense of humor - He made Browns fans didn't He?
