Stripes
Gotta love all the love. I do think Palmer deserves a ranknig higher than 17th, but as long as the rest of the AFC North is below him, I am happy.

Stripes
if I'm not mistaken 17 was is overall ranking from last year I believe you are correct, but that includes all his early season struggles. I think he has shown enough imporvement to warrant a spot in the top 15, but no matter, we'll see it all on the field. :player:
kingwilly
There should be no doubt he is the best AFCN QB. By the end of the season, I predict he'll be in the top 3 in the AFC.I think Palmer has the skills and talent around him to vie for Culpepper type #'s, Dome or no-dome.The only thing I see holding back his stats, and it's a good thing, is that our O will be balanced pass/run. I'm hoping Brat gets more creative and less predictable with paycalling. I want other D-coord.'s to cringe inside at the thought of preparing for a Bengals game. WhoDeyHomer
I think we all know Palmer isnt really rated that low, but he still hasn't done it long enough to prove it to everyone. I think he might break top 5 this year in QB rating, which offsets the showing of a balanced attack. He won't have as many stat #'s but his per pass #'s hopefully will be like the end of last year (Unlike that hoser Manning passing for 3yd TD's on any and every down in a secured victory). Da Brat is a lot more creative than you think, trust me, he has some great playcalls. Sometimes you have to be able to be predictable and do it anyway, thats anyone. I'm sure if you ask a few players on the Ravens or Pats, they'd probably say the Bengals arent fun to go against, we have size, speed, creativity and the ability to run right at you, not a lot of teams can say all of those. ArmyBengal
Is anyone else enjoying our QB situation as much as I am ?? I mean how nice is it to not have to worry about who is going to be named the starter at this position, as opposed to years past ?? Palmer rules !!!WHODEY !!! Michigan Bengal
Palmer is going to be one of the top 5 QB's in the league this year. We will be unstoppable on offense this year. Great QB, RB, WR's, and a solid OL. My only concern is the defense, but that shouldn't matter if the offense is as good at it is on paper. I predict 15-1 and a SUPER BOWL WIN this season.GO BENGALS!!!

If you end up correct, then I am inclined to believe Mrs. Cleo is back in business on the Bengalszone board.

If the Patriots could go from doormat to dynasty in one year then the Bengals sure can. We have a much better team then they did in 2001. Who?
I do think Carson Palmer's the man, but even though I do think Big Ben is overrated, he still should be ahead of Palmer on that list.
Kazkal
why because he was carried by his team and wasen't asked to make mistakes? then when he did he made excuses like a 5 year old?Dilfer should be #1 on that list anyways he's the one with a freaking SB RING!!!! The Big Orange
Anyone else amused at Vick's accuracy rating...65?Well, hey, y'know, running backs who can hit 65% of their passes are hard to come by... YYYEEEEEEEEEEEHAHHHAHAHHAAAAAHHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!Living in the world where Vick just bump the Holy Spirit out of the 3rd spot in the trinity, that's figgin' hillarious. I think the guys a joke. I be Rudi Johnson could throw as well, along with half of the wide receivers, running backs, and tight ends.Vicks good fro running fast, making comercials, and spreading good will warts, and that's about it. brooklyn_bengalfan
I understand why they put him at 17 based on past performance -- even though we see lots of those "he heated up late in the season before the injury" stories, the numbers just aren't as good last year as we know they will be this year. The way I look at it -- as a fan, you look up that list above Carson, and there are not very many guys I'd rather have as the Bengals QB right now, and maybe more importantly for the next few seasons. From that perspective, who cares where he is on this list right now -- think about where he should be in two years! :player:

DesperateDerelict
Being named the best QB in the AFCN is similar to winning a beauty contest at a women's prison . . . the competition just ain't there, and if you have most of your teeth or a goo upper plate, you have a 'leg up' on the competition.Whew! It's getting warm in here . . .
