Stripes
I am confident Chad Johnson will continue to lead the AFC in receiving this year, with the evdient chemistry he and Palmer are making. That said, I have some fear that his pro-bowl spot may be in jeapordy with Moss in the conference, and players like Andre Johnson improving every year. I think those added challenges will only add to Chad's drive, and he could blow everyone away and finish the season at 1500 yards or better with double digit TDs. :player:

That said, I have some fear that his pro-bowl spot may be in jeapordy with Moss in the conferenceI'm not too worried about Moss taking the title away from Chad for the reason in your first sentence, the chemistry he and Palmer have and will continue to build on.Plus it takes two to tango in this endeavor, and you have to remember who Moss had throwing to him in Minnesota, and who'll be throwing to him now in Oakland. Bluntly, the closest Collins comes to Culpepper is that they both play QB, and their names start with "C." Maybe this will help define the difference:Now as far as Palmers rating versus Collins rating, do you think Palmers is going to stay at the 77.3 where it's at? I doubt it. This will be his second season starting. Kerry Collins on the other hand has found his 73.3 average. Since 1995:
Stripes
Wow, Billy, very informative post. Good stuff. I do see your point, an I agree. Collins is known for a good deep ball, Moss's specialty, but with Collins's inconsistency, it'll be difficult for Moss to rack up stats. CTBengalsFan
well I got Randy and Chad on my fantasy team, so let's hope it's a close race
ArmyBengal
I don't think Moss is going to have the same numbers he did in Minn. due to Collins throwing (or attempting to) the ball. On the flip side, does anyone else think that due to our WR corps depth and the possibility of a RBs who catch, that some passes go somewhere else besides Chad's hands ?? Just food for thought...WHODEY !!!

I think this will be a pass happy offense, if that philosophy has early success, and there will be plenty of balls to go around to keep Chad's numbers on the rise.Post number 100 baybay!!! Lemme get my "veteran" status now! TWO red bars for me.
Who?
Chad will do good again but I don't think he will lead the AFC in receiving. There are so many good receivers, I think Randy Moss is going to thrive since Kerry Collins loves throwing the deep ball and well, Randy loves catching the deep ball. ArmyBengal
I think Randy Moss is going to thrive since Kerry Collins loves throwing the deep ball What's with the love fest for Collins ?? You can throw the ball 80 yards in the air and your WR may be fast enough to get it, but if it's nowhere close to where it should go, who gives a rats A** how far you can throw it ?? I just don't see it from the argument of how good Collins is... TD Bengals, congrats on post #100... Movin on up !!!WHODEY !!!

Oh yeah, saying someone is going to do well because they like to throw the deep ball, is like saying someone is going to break the single season rushing record because they like to run...WHODEY !!! Who?
Haha dude, Kerry Collins always throws for a lot of yards, and now with a really big receiving threat Moss should have good stats?
