AMC Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 WILKERSON NOT CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the .comuh oh pushy Quote
CJBestInAFC Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 A news release issued earlier today on the roster status of center Ben Wilkerson was incorrect. Rather than being waived (failed physical), Wilkerson was placed on the active/non-football injury list. Wilkerson remains with the team at training camp, but has not yet been cleared for practice as he continues rehab from a major knee injury he suffered last season while at LSU. He is eligible to be cleared for play as soon as his physical condition allows. Quote
walshfan Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 so that people dont notice him??? wtf does that mean... isnt every player scutinized in the NFL... its not like you can hide someone is it? Quote
jjakq27 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 If you had been reading my posts this wouldnt suprise you one bit. Another case of me being right almost all the time. Man how do you live with yourself? Quote
DontPushMe Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 WILKERSON NOT CUT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! the .comuh oh pushy Actually if you were around to read my posts back then you would know that this is basically what I said. I said if Wilkerson is lucky, he will be on the IR or the Practice Squad. If not, cut. Looks like he got lucky. Quote

HairOnFire Posted July 29, 2005 Author Report Posted July 29, 2005 this thread is funny It sure is. First we get the mistaken press release, then we get all of our reactions to news that wasn't fit to print in the first place, then we learn that Pushy was right all along regardless of whether the player was cut or not. That said, the last part was predictable. Quote
jditty47 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 u guys are like kindergartners arguing. Quote
HairOnFire Posted July 29, 2005 Author Report Posted July 29, 2005 This seems like the perfect time to mention that I really miss that blonde gal whe was squeezing and twirling her boobies around. I'm not sure why I felt so close to someone whose name I never knew, but it almost feels like there's been a death in the family. I hope she knew how much I loved her. Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 It absolutely proves me right. I said he will not make the 53 man roster. HE DIDNT. You guys are just using small meaningless excuses to get out of admitting that i was right. If the only problem with him was the injury, he would have been put on IR, but they knew he wouldnt amount to anything as an NFL player, and decided to cut him now. Thats it.I swear i could correctly predict our opening day roster for 2013 and you guys would still find a way to say I was wrong. Just accept it. Im right.B.S. You said he would get cut because he "sucks," not because he wouldn't pass his physical. He's on the PUP list - not a big suprise they can take him off after training camp/preseason from what I am aware of. The Big Orange Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 B.S. You said he would get cut because he "sucks," not because he wouldn't pass his physical. ShulaSteakhouse Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 BTW I don't think Wilkerson was ever meant to be a factor this year, but a high ceiling guard/center prospect for next year and beyond...worthwhile risk IMO considering what is/will be the Bengals' need at those positions. You can't tell me Wilkerson won't at least be quality depth if they can sign him for a reasonable amount - considering how often lineman get injured - I still think it was a great move - but am not saying he'll be the next great Bengal 0-lineman.Gotta like Marvin's focus on the o-line in the draft and FA so far - something that's been neglected too often here on a consistent basis.Drafting and signing for depth instead of constant, immediate need is a good sign someone is managing the damn roster properly for once and evaluating talent better. CantStop85 Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 If Wilkerson can get healthy, he'll be much better than Ghiaciuc. I'm glad to see he's still on the team. The kid could have a bright future ahead. Quote

El Tigere Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Wilkerson did not get cut!!!!!!!!!!! He was put on the unable to perform list until he is healthy! Check out [Cincinnati Bengals.com] Quote
schweinhart Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Go get 'em Tiger!!!!!I gotta say about the laser-like insight about Wilkerson by the Grandmaster Flush --I can see the premature ejaculation part but not when you're pulling your own pud. Quote
HoosierCat Posted July 30, 2005 Report Posted July 30, 2005 Looks like he got lucky. Lucky. How many street FAs with injuries get put on the reserve list vs. simply being cut?Lucky. Quote
