redsrule2500 Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 I'll go ahead and say yes, although I could see it either way. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 PW would really help stretch the defense. with that blazing speed? come on, he is an underachiever that never had the speed to be a breakaway threat. he is quick and has a good first and second move, but he will never stretch a defense. AMC Posted July 28, 2005 Report Posted July 28, 2005 The knee is cooked. He will be cut/final cut down. It will be a sad day. The sweet memories of him smoking the previously undefeated Chiefs will always linger. Adios, P-Bud, we shall miss ye, but not your knee. If he gets cut I think it will be before the final cutdown actually. I don't know if they will fool around with him on the PUP list. I think they would release him before that.I think Marvin is trying to reduce the number of players on IR. A rookie for 16 games > vet on IR or PUP. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Warrick doesnt even know if he will practice at all during training camp. I mean he has had about a year to recover...BYE BYE Peter i would rather see Mr. Henry take your spot. Quote
CantStop85 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 BYE BYE Peter i would rather see Mr. Henry take your spot. I'm just worried about all of our receivers besides Chad and TJ being unproven. Kelley Washington has done nothing with a lot, Henry's a rookie, Perry's a rookie, Walter will never be anything more than a special teams ace. Makes you think. Quote
JPW Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 I find it odd that only those who say he won't be back have the guts to say why they think so.Warrick said he won't practice right away on his injured knee, a keen disappointment for both him and the club. But he said it was a mutual decision and even though he said he's not certain when he can return, he said, "I'm not going to let it get me down. I'm straight."While this certainly is not encouraging news, neither Warrick nor the team has said that he is done yet.I am not willing to count him out until they do ...... Quote
BENGAL Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Warrick is gone...and the guy to step it up just may be the last one you'd think!!!! Quote
CantStop85 Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Warrick is gone...and the guy to step it up just may be the last one you'd think!!!! And that would be? Quote
HairOnFire Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Pretty funny. There are currently 44 votes in the poll and it's evenly split. I wonder if that means half of us are really good internet doctors who have examined all of the radiographs, obtained 2nd opinions from specialists, and spent countless hours pouring over our medical journals while the other half who voted are just ignorant fugtards who flipped a coin? That said, on three out of the five times asked George Washington answered that Peter Warrick is toast. So that's how I voted. Quote
BENGAL Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 Warrick is gone...and the guy to step it up just may be the last one you'd think!!!!And that would be? I'm just saying you kever know...who would've thunk tj would have stepped up in Warricks place! Quote
ShulaSteakhouse Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 TJ benefited from Palmer's run the 2nd half last year - and unlike CJ makes plays after the catch....which is Warrick's forte. I would like to see a healthy Warrick with an experienced Palmer here, Warrick's had nothing but crap here since he's been drafted, and when the offense really started to catch on in '03, he showed what he could do, even getting a Pro Bowl invite as an alternate. P-Dub's situation is just disappointing, haters and/or those that think he's not one of the best #2 WR's in the league are just being stupid. His injury situation sucks. Quote
Fab Five Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 I agree with Shula... It sure would be nice if he could have played with Palmer last year and this year... Truth be told it looks bleak that he ever will be 100% especially since missing the majority of last season for the same reason. He has not been 100% since his surgery a few years ago. How long does it take for a normal injury to heel??? In this case it appears that Marvin and Co. have told the press as little as possible regarding his condition... It would be nice to know what exactly is wrong with him. How can a man go from being cleared to play in 2004 Week 6 and spend all this time rehabing and not be cleared to practice 10 months later??? Its frustrating to me so I know it has to be demoralizing to Dub... I just feel for him because he came back way to soon from surgery a few years ago in an effort to try to get this team into the playoffs. My 2 cents Quote
walzav29 Posted July 29, 2005 Author Report Posted July 29, 2005 Don't you Warrick optimist's realize that Willis McGahee returned quicker after tearing 3 knee ligaments, than Peter is with whatever is wrong with his knee. It's rumored to a degenerating knee condition, which there is no fix for. Quote
membengal Posted July 29, 2005 Report Posted July 29, 2005 I don't think people on this issue are "haters" or "optimists" or any other label. Clearly, every Bengals fans wants the healthy Peter Warrick back. No questions. A good chunk of Bengaldom is skeptical he will every be healthy again. That skepticism isn't unfounded, it stems directly from the depth chart and comments made by ML. All we can do is cross our fingers and hope he is OK.By the way, he won't be. I jinxed his recovery one year ago when I bought Bengals road jersey for the missus. A nice Peter Warrick one. Poor guy never had a chance. Quote
