Here's the scoop,

Cards to Hold Entire Training Camp in Prescott  Tempe, AZ – The Arizona Cardinals Football Club today announced that the team has moved the site of its 2005 training camp to Prescott, AZ from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff. A recent outbreak of norovirus on the N.A.U. campus led the team to move its camp from that location.

The Cardinals training camp in Prescott will be headquartered at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University for the first half and the Prescott Quality Inn & Suites for the second.

“I cannot overstate our appreciation to everyone in Prescott who has bent over backwards to accommodate our team,” said Cardinals Vice President of Football Operations Rod Graves. “Thanks to some exceptional effort and support – particularly from the individuals at Embry-Riddle and the Quality Inn – we’ve been able to quickly secure a very positive situation for our training camp.”

Players will report this Sunday to Embry-Riddle and begin practicing on Monday. They will remain there through August 11 and during that time utilize on-campus facilities for housing, dining, and meetings as well as practice.

Following the first preseason game vs. Dallas, the team will return to Prescott on August 14 and base its operation at the Quality Inn, which also hosted the Cardinals during their four-day stay in Prescott last year. The team will break camp on Wednesday, August 24.

Throughout their time in Prescott, the team will have access to on-campus fields at Embry-Riddle as well as three other nearby locations – Keebler Field, Pioneer Park, and Ken Lindley Field.

All practices in Prescott will be open to the public and free to attend.

Yeah, I know it's not the Bengals, but how often does an NFL team show up next door, double parking their freakin' tricked out, 20" wheels with those "Ever-Spin" (Keeps spinning even when you're vehicle is stopped!) hubcapped Humvee's, Escalades, and Expeditions all over the place? My main goals while they're here in town?

#1: Get the autograph of NFL record holder and Cincinnati Bengals #6 pick from the 2000 draft, kicker Neil Rackers!

The Pro Football Hall of Fame received the shoes worn by Rackers on 10/24/04 when he earned a spot in the NFL record book. By connecting on field goals of 55, 55 and 50 yards in the Cardinals 25-17 win vs. Seattle (10/24), Rackers earned a share of the NFL’s all-time record for most field goals of 50+ yards in a single game, tying Morten Andersen who set the record in 1995.

#2: Get the autograph of Cardinals Head Coach Dennis Green. I just love his "You've got 3 hots and a cot, we're here to work!" style of training camp he runs. Plus he's the best Bass fisherman in the league, black or white!

#3:Not only to get the autograph of former Super Bowl MVP Kurt Warner, but to encourage him to do EVERYTHING within' his power to make sure he and the Cardinals bury N.Y. Giants QB Eli "Daddies Boy" Manning in their opener in New York. I want to see little "m" brutally sacked more often than David Klingler was in his first full rookie season as starting QB for Cincy. That was a shell shocking Klingler never recovered from, and really didn't deserve. Eli does!

#4: Let the Cardinals know well ahead of time not to get their hopes up too high when they meet Cincy in Detroit this coming January. Granted, Kurt Warner was a former Super Bowl MVP, but Palmer will be the MVP this time!! :player: Bengals win 31-24. :player: Case closed, Right Bax?...Bax?

Meh. Sure the Bengals haven't made the playoffs in a billion years. Sure they finished 26th in run defense last year. Sure they play in one of the toughest divisions around. All that aside, if they are capable of reaching the playoffs (yes), then they are capable of reaching the Superbowl (yes). The same goes for any other playoff team or playoff contender. Granted, some of those teams have better chances than others (Pats, Colts, Eagles, bla bla bla).

I just quoted you on that Who! You believe what you want, I'll believe what I want. Mine will come true 'cause God likes me better!

I thought you said an NFL team was holding camp near you, not an NFL Europe quality team....

Hate on the Cards all you want. Dennis green will be surprising people this year. There's a huge difference in last years QB Josh McClown and this seasons starting QB Kurt Warner. Warner didn't look so good last season, but then again he was trying to make a pathetic Giants receiving corps work. He's got one of the top corps in the league in Arizona.

If you think that won't make a huge difference in his performance, you need to put down the crack pipe. B)

All wrong my man :D . Early in the year when Warner was playing the Giants WRs were healthy, and when healthy they're decent. However the Giants OL wasn't too good, which combined with Warner's stone feet and total lack of pocket presence made for some ugliness. Just wait and see, Warner behind AZ's OL is going to get UGLY.

If Arizona had that much talent they would have been a playoff team last year. They had next to no injuries and played in the weakest division of the weaker conference. One good offseason alone isn't going to fix their woes, Denny Green not withstanding.
