Tee Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Latest from the Enquirer......“Peter’s got a tough road to win a job on the football team, particularly a starting spot,” Lewis said of Warrick. “If Peter can win a job, it would be a real plus for us.”http://news.enquirer.com/apps/pbcs.dll/art...SPT02/307260019PDub you better get it going son. Marvin isn't fooling around. :player: Its awesome to have a coach that tells you how it is rather than dodging the obvious..... IN MARVIN WE TRUST!!! Quote
Kazkal Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 If he's healthy #3 spot won't be a problem if he's unhealthy well lets say it makes me sad Quote
Bgal Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Is it just me or is Warrick no where to be found here: http://bengals.com/team/depthchart.aspMaybe I am just missing him... Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Its awesome to have a coach that tells you how it is rather than dodging the obvious..... IN MARVIN WE TRUST!!! Actually, my impression of Lewis press conferences has always been that he does a pretty impressive job of dodging the obvious more often than not. That lends extra significance in my mind when he does come out and say something like this. Together with the report on the team site today that Warrick is still not officially cleared to go 100% in camp (which starts in 3 days!?!), these comments have me believing for the first time that PDub may be gone. HoosierCat Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Well, hell, let's see...PW's spot is the slot position...TJ's spot is in the slot...PW has a bum knee and is in the last year of his contract...TJ just got a phat contract...Yeah, I can see where Warrick has his work cut out for him. That said, if he's healthy I'll be surprised if they let him go. MARVIN=W'S Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I don't think ML is going to mess around with him all year. I don't think he wants this to drag out like Leons injury a couple years ago or Perry last year. Remember ML challenged PDub's work ethic and toughness already when this all started. TJ's emergence and new contract and PDub in the final season I believe means come Sept. 11 PW will not be here. So step up if you've got a pair KDub, we need him to. IN MARVIN WE TRUST!!!! Quote
The Big Orange Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 There's no way they can let Warrick go...I just put a poster of him and Rudi and Chad up in my office, which is now completely orange and black...anybody know how to do photoshop on a poster? Quote
Kazkal Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 The guys ready to cut Pdub are probbley the same ones who wanted to hang TJ who was out for a whole season himself Quote
BENGAL Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 There is too much fresh talent at the wr position...PDub is too much of a risk...We have all been waiting for him to be medically cleared for months and months now, what makes anyone think that is going to happen in the next 3 days???? Quote
BengalByTheBay Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 How long has he been rehabbing anyway? That's the issue to me. I can't imagine that after this length of time he's not going to be ready to practice. To me that screams chronic injury. I would love it if PDub could come in ala 2003 this season, I'm just reading the writing on the wall. Quote
Spain Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 did you guys notice how high Walter was on that chart! backing up chad. Is this a sign? Quote
walshfan Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 If Warrick cant go all out in preseason he's gone.....Newer receivers with talent abound... Quote
Stripes Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 Walter wasn't backing up Chad, he was backing up that wideout spot. Normally Warrick would be listed here, but he isn't for obvious reasons. I am sure when Chris Henry is signed he will be in Walter's spot. The actual order of one and two is still chad and T.J. Quote
Spain Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I would rather keep a project than a guy we cant pay next year! Thanks for the memories PW,(mostly the memories of who we should have drafted)sigh! Quote
Stripes Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 I would be sad to see Warrick go, but it may be for the best. If Henry and Washington get bumped up in his place, I'd see them both taking some advantage. Warrick isn't a good fit with Palmer anyways, at least not in the slot when T.J. is the go to guy in that area. If Warrick does end up released, then that bodes well for other questions at WR. I'd like t see Walter stay on hte team, as well as keep Perry and Washington, but that would be impossible with Warrick on the roster. Quote
brooklyn_bengalfan Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 There's no way they can let Warrick go...I just put a poster of him and Rudi and Chad up in my office, which is now completely orange and black...anybody know how to do photoshop on a poster? I recommend a pair of scissors. Much quicker, and if he actually makes the team, easier to "undo" Quote
Irish Bengal Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 This depth chart doesn't mean diddly. It just something to give to the press and public. Everything will shake out in due time. Quote
staticx682000 Posted July 26, 2005 Report Posted July 26, 2005 P-dub will not be on the roster, until he is cleared. If he is healthy he will play. How can he not.If he is hurt p-dub will be gone.. Quote
CantStop85 Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Don't go P-dub...DON'T GO!!!!!!! Get healthy! Quote
TecmoFever Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 Don't go P-dub...DON'T GO!!!!!!! Get healthy! Yeah, me too. I'm still holding out hope that P-Dub comes back for one more year. I'd love to see him in the slot on 3rd down. That is, if he can actually make a cut on that knee. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted July 27, 2005 Report Posted July 27, 2005 The guys ready to cut Pdub are probbley the same ones who wanted to hang TJ who was out for a whole season himself This one isn't. Pdub isn't healthy. He isn't going to make the team if he isn't healthy. He's a first round bust who has NEVER amounted to anything except in one season. TJ is a smarter, harder working guy. Quote
