andybren
Don't know if this was posted elsewhere but ESPN.com has a "Best of Ohio" poll running:http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/sportsnation...g?event_id=1449Here are some of the current results, edited for space. Overall, the Browns show up often, but usually for negative reasons. Thought the Bengals-Browns rivalry would have done better, even though I voted for OSU-Michigan. CantStop85
I'm sure college football is exciting when you're an Ohio State fan...but not so much when you're a Kentucky fan.College basketball is a different story entirely, though! HairOnFire
6.3% Art Modell moves the Browns from Cleveland to BaltimoreIsn't it great how opinions change over time? When rumors of the move were first announced I raged in defense of my Brownstained cousins. But now, years later, I find the whole mess to be hilarious beyond words. No kidding, what's more gut-busting funny than the memory of Cleveland losing it's team, the city immediately prostrating itself in an attempt to get a new team, Modell happily leaving the Brownie history behind, Brownie fans crowing about how quickly they got a brand new old team, endless bragging about landing the old 49'er front office twins, more bragging about how well the Browns manipulated their expansion draft, still more bragging about the quality and sheer numbers of free agents signed, and still more bragging about getting Tim Couch, the top pick in the draft, after first making it appear that their real target was...Akili Smith. Not to mention Chris Palmer being fired in favor of Butch Davis, Carmen Policy getting busted for cheating, Tim Couch crying like a bitch on Sportscenter, Brownie pinheads throwing bottles, Butch Davis engaging in a successful front office power grab.....then quitting as soon as he was informed that he could keep the huge bonus he had essentially given himself. I'm telling you, Modell moving the Brownies was pure comedy.
Who?
That's really not funny at all, try to deal with something like that.
HairOnFire
That's really not funny at all, try to deal with something like that. Bengal fans did go through something like that. Afterall, the fine folks from Baltimore approached Mike Brown before they met with Modell, an action that left Bengal fans twisting in the wind for many months. But every joke needs it's setup, right? And after each setup comes the punchline. And in this example the punchline came in the form of the new Browns being described as an expansion team with 50+ years of history. Trust me, that's funny. andybren
You might also add that off the original expansion roster, only 2 players are left. So they may as well be an expansion team all over again this year. I feel sorry for Browns fans (including my dad and sister) but they went to the playoffs in recent history, so I'll go ahead and amuse myself with the exploits of Couch, Garcia, Butch, Winslow, et al. Believe me, they'll hold out all the tribulation as a badge of honor if they beat the Bengals this year. Even if its their only win all year. Who?
I wouldn't say they are an expansion team all over again this year, but still are pretty bad I know.

bengalboomer7
Mee too, college football is a little more exciting. The games usually hinge on who can make the most big plays. And some wacky stuff is way more commonplace in college sports.
rob_justdmb
I hated the fact that the Browns had 0 wins from 1996 - 1998. Absolutely a travesty that they were gone. Like a yin with no yang.However. I find it absolutely f**king hilarious that the Browns look like they will have 0 wins from 2005 - 2007. Honestly.
