HairOnFire
I just stumbled across a blurb at KFFL that said Peter Warrick now appears to be "fully recovered". The information was linked to NFL.com and Adam Schecter(sp?) of NFL Total Acess. Huge news if true.
CantStop85
Hopefully he's more "fully recovered" than he was last year.
UK Bengal
hope he is as with TJ & CJ & Pdub that is one awesome set of WR and if henry comes along and KW wakes up it will be that much better.
ShulaSteakhouse
I think they kind of assumed that since he's not getting swelling now and experiencing the difficulties he did last year that it's "fully recovered." (a bit of an assumption)Very possible and great news so far, just being cautious about him as I don't want to get too let down if he has a set back. I don't think anyone will feel too comfortable/excited about his situation until about halfway through preseason, if he looks good on the field and is not having any issues at that point.Kind of hard to ignore someone who adds a whole new dimension to their O unlike they had last year. It's like the Squealers losing Hines Ward for a year.

The Big Orange
Different people saw different things, but what I could tell, and these guys were right in front of me for most of the practice, was that Warrick looked good and ready to go. I couldn't figure out why he wasn't doing drills.Adam says pretty confidently that he's good to go...http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/8630877I agree, Desperado...I am more than ready to kick Kelly (Barbie's little sister) to the curb. His first down "gesture" and "squirel dance" were better than his play last year...and that ain't saying much.

Who?
Is Warrick the slot reciever? I think he would be good there, he kind've reminds me of Northcutt a little, you just have to use him properly.
CantStop85
Anyone think he'll get a shot at returning punts again or does Ratliff have it on lock? Our main kick returner from last year, Cliff Russell, will be gone....maybe he can try kick returns.

ShulaSteakhouse
Warrick=Northcutt on steroids.Hehe, pretty much, but to the original poster, he is used in a lot of ways (deep, underneath, slots, screens, reverses, punt returns). But am thinking it'll take a while for him to regain confidence in his knee possibly. I don't think he'll be used as much this year as they'd like to. But it should hopefully mean he'll be cheap to re-sign...hopefully.

After finding the KFFL link I looked for the full story but couldn't find it. Now I see why as it was just a paragraph or two buried in a grab bag piece. That said, still felt great to read the words...fully recovered. Second, for reasons I can't explain I think I'm more encouraged by a positive update from a Bengal fan than a beat writer. The Big Orange
My favorite kind of viewpoint is from an opossing fans view...that's why I was so pumped about the thread that Don't Push Me put from the Ravens about Palmer. Because these fans really want to think the worst about us...and if they are a half decent fan and realist and they admit that we are good, or certain areas of our team is good, great, elite, top tier...then it must be true. They are looking for signs that the Marvin revival is a fluke, and they are leavingsad and believing in miracles. Hallelujah! (sorry Billy)

The Big Orange
Here is Schaeffer talking about it on NFL Network in his "Around the League" segment...http://play.rbn.com/?url=nfl/nfl/open/nflf...ontextwidth=
icehole3
Jul 8 Adam Schefter, of NFL.com, reports Cincinnati Bengals WR Peter Warrick (leg) seems to be fully recovered from a shin injury he suffered in Week 1 last season and forced him on to the injured reserve list in November. There had been earlier talk he and the Bengals would part company, but now it appears he has a great chance to make the final roster. Jul 9 NFL Network reports Peter Warrick is ''close to 100%'' and should be ready for training camp.Despite rumors to the contrary, Warrick is getting ready for a big role with the Bengals this season. He won't catch 79 balls again as the team's third receiver, but 50-60 is not out of the question.
NJ29
I fthis is true, then....dang. The rest of the league is in for a long season. I wouldn't be suprised to see us looking like the Colts, of course scaled down a little bit and without as much chemistry. We now have every type of receiver we need in one season;Chad - SuperstarT.J. - Intermediate possesion guyP-Dub - Shifty slot man Squirrel - See T.J.Henry - Rookie Deep Threat

CantStop85
Squirrel - See T.J. Believe or not, I think Kelley Washington is one of our best red zone/touchdown threats. He just seems to come up with a lot of balls in the endzone. Probably because he's so anxious to show off his squirrel dance.
bengal4life
One thing that I noticed about that article on NFL.com is that it only said that Warrick has recovered from his shin injury, it didn't say anything about his knee. At least I didn't see anything about his knee. I don't know if he still has swelling or authritis still in his knee or not. If what they meant to say was that his knee and shin were close to 100% than great, but I'm still not completely convinced this information is true. I guess I'll have to see for myself in about a month a training camp.
Who?
Plleeasee, Warrick hasn't lived up to his expectations at all, Northcutt was a second round pick and has had a pretty decent career so far.
bengalsrz
Cliff Russell, will be gone cliff russel is gone!!? i didnt know that, anyways i think that Peter will be the slot reciever, he has the speed and he can catch, he will be a perfect fit for the slot position, as of kick returning, just remember him against the cheifs two seasons ago. vman1186
In an ideal world, this is how I think the Bengals WR situation would shape up.The number 1 guy would be Chad Johnson, paired next to Chris Henry. Their deep threat potential and athletisism would give other teams fits. In the middle would be Peter Warrick. He plays the slot very well and can run after the catch. Throw in TJ for depth. While not as specialized as Warrick, he can fill in any holes and is an all around solid player. Then for numbers 5-6, take the two best WRs left. Don't forget about Perry coming out of the backfield and a TE! There you have it!
