HairOnFire
For what it's worth? Practice squad material? Hey, where's the love? Sheesh, if Fanene was a slow caucasian wideout he might be the stuff of local legend. Instead, he's now on a plane bound for Pago Pago, and the Cincy locals don't seem to care if he returns. That's sad.

That's sad. If Fanane had half of what Walters brings to the table...why, he would already be in Canton. Thought we had learned you that at this point hair...Nice to get one in the fold, even if it is a 7th. Six to go.
ArmyBengal
Can't hate one bit, backups are always nice and you just never know. With all the optimism of going to the playoffs and the superbowl, you would think that every player to include our 7th rounder is going to the probowl as well. Funny how hope is dispelled...WHODEY !!!
AMC
Fanene's a former QB that now weighs 270-280? What do they feed these guys in Pago Pago? Or does Pago Pago just have big QBs????? With Smith, Geathers, etc he will likely go to the practice squad. The good thing is if he's claimed off of our practice squad the team that claims him needs to keep him on their 53 man roster. So, he looks safe. :player: :player: :player: :player:
HairOnFire
If Fanane had half of what Walters brings to the table...why, he would already be in Canton. What makes you think Fanene isn't just as good? Both players were 7th round picks, right? So why not go potty with speculation over him as well? And let's not forget for a moment that Walters was cut almost immediately by the team that had originally drafted him despite the fact that the Giants have lousy wideouts. Then again, they may have found a better gunner than Walter and thus no further need for him. That said, let's all agree to agree that it's nice to get the first draft pick signed. For what it's worth Hair, I was poking fun at myself for the Walters discussion, not meaning the above comment to be taken the least bit literally.I don't believe in smilies, so sometimes that gets lost in the translation. Not a problem. I've been known to make fun of myself from time to time and probably haven't written anything meant to be taken literally in a couple of years. As for the smilies, I've never liked them either, but for some reason my posting style has resulted in the occasional death threatand multiple lifetime banishments. Hey, go figure. I don't understand it either. In fact, over at the Huddles board I actually stumbled across a child-like moderator named Cicero who suspended me because he didn't realize I was joking. So after explaining myself I started using the despised smilies in my posts more often to make my jolly mirth making more obvious to painfully stupid people.....like the mods on the Huddles board....or that guy named Ralph. However, I have to admit the smilies didn't help a bit because Cicero later banished me for life after admitting that he knew I was joking, but he simply didn't like a joke I had told. Seemed a bit harsh to me, but then again I'm not a right-wing nutjob moderating a football message board from my college dorm room. And to be fair, the joke was about Cicero actually having injured his head in a car accident. But in my defense I'd say I used the appropriate smilie. ---> Hey, what was this thread about? I seem to have forgotten.
