BengalszoneBilly Posted June 25, 2005 Report Posted June 25, 2005 Sorry if I sounded like I went in there and started crap. That was my intent of course, but when I got in the Browns forum and started reading their posts, I thought better of it. I was doing anything but trashtalking. I introduced myself as a hardcore Bengals fan and asked them how they thought the Browns would fare this year and who they thought their strongest players were.Well, lets just say I didn't get the response I wanted. They started doggin me for bein a so called "Bungles" fan, and they told me to never come back to their forums. One guy said he hoped I, along with Carson Palmer, burned in hell. Seriously...what did I say to deserve that.I then got offended and a little bit pissed..lol. I posted a second message that was the complete opposite of my first one and told them I couldn't wait until Sept. 11th so we could kick their drunken arses. I also told them I had a party the night Winslow wrecked. After that, the death threats started reigning down lol.I love it.Screw ClevelandWho-Dey :player:Well that's a reasonable post I suppose. Carry on Mr. Blow05. BTW, when you registered at the Browns board, please tell me you used a different name there. I'm pretty sure if you didn't, whatever you posted, no matter how innocent, wouldn't be received too well! Can you imagine someone showing up here with the name "Bungles (insert your slander of choice)" and starting off with: "Hi guy's! I'm just here to talk football and..." Ain't gonna fly, is it? Even DontPushMe would be all over him like a stuffed diaper on a baby's butt! :player: Quote
brownsblow05 Posted June 25, 2005 Author Report Posted June 25, 2005 LOL.As much as I know that would have amused you Billy, no my username on there was Cincy9.I wouldn't exactly call myself intelligent. But im smart enough to change my username where needed. Who-Dey :player: Quote

brownsblow05 Posted June 25, 2005 Author Report Posted June 25, 2005 Thats the last time I go to a Browns message board without a bulletproof vest on Quote
Columbusbengal Posted July 4, 2005 Report Posted July 4, 2005 ya i agree, i like this board better than all other bengals message boards. This is definitely a great message board - lots of serious football conversation. However, I do wonder why there are virtually no trolls on here - have we successfully kept it a secret from other teams' boards? Quote

DontPushMe Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Wow jungle noise is a joke. I had never really looked at it before, i had heard about it, but not untill just now looked at it. Not even mentioning the 3rd grade format, the first thing i see is an ongoing discussion comparing Rudi Johnson to Brian Westbrook. They are comparing a durable, 350+ carry, power runner with virtually no top speed, moves, or receiving skills, to a rb who cant stay healthy for 16 games or take over 200 carries, who is quick, fast, and probly the 2nd best receiving RB in the league. I doubt you could find any 2 rbs who are more different then those 2.And as for finding other teams message boards. Most teams have a real one on their team website. Of the few that dont you can probly find them on theinsiders.com. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 If you're looking for one site where you can talk football or smack to fans of almost all teams at once, (although it does have more Cardinals fans than any others) I'd recommend NFL Crackdown. It's not near as busy as here, but they just started out.Currently I'm the only one toeing the line for the Bengals there, but hey, how much smack can a Cardinals fan smack me with anyway? Let's get serious. Actually it's a much friendlier site than I made it sound like, but occasionally the "Director of Trash Talking" has to come out of retirement and put in his 2 cents for Cincy! :player: Quote

DontPushMe Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 heh, it was close wasnt it? Honestly though, what i just posted is what ive been saying all along really. hes average, thats it. Hes not going to be the guy winning games for us, by any means, but hes average. I still think Perry can and will be better, and Dillon is and has been better, but i give rj credit for what he is. Quote
BengalNation1281 Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 Well at least you aren't spewing hatred. And, not to be argumentative, but why do you think that Perry will be better and not just the next Ki-Jana? Quote
schweinhart Posted July 5, 2005 Report Posted July 5, 2005 I still think Perry can and will be better, and Dillon is and has been better, but i give rj credit for what he is. Perry will get his shot eventually. There is just no reason to rush it this year unless Watson goes down. If he does show up and contribute this year, outstanding. As for Dillon, the way he ran (and caught) he was the Franco Harris the Bengals never had but he also seemed like such a Pro Bowl a$$hole too much, even though he did have reasons to be majorly pi$$ed off at times like he did when he threw his gear up in the stands at the end of '03.As for Rudi, he reminds me of a slipperier Boobie Clark. BengalszoneBilly Posted July 6, 2005 Report Posted July 6, 2005 As for Rudi, he reminds me of a slipperier Boobie Clark. Now if Rudi ever needed a cool nickname, I would vote for "Slippery Boobie!" That's just me though.I will say that's a good comparison schweinhart! Quote
