They are already starting the sign ups for fantasy football on yahoo. I played last year. Its by far the best fantasy football that is free. And from what ive seen of it so far it looks even better. I have already set a date to draft my team. I signed up now why all the good players are still there.

I signed up now why (*edit* while?) all the good players are still there.

And all the players will be there until the draft. Nobody gets any players early. At least not at Yahoo.

BTW, did you play in the Bengalszone Fantasy league last year? If so, what was your name there?

I just too noticed that Yahoo! was kicking it up again. Seems a little earlier than last year, but people can't get enough football these days. I played in our league last year, so I want in again guys!!

Billy's going down this year!!

Count me in again-but no guarantees on another 15-1 season....

Guess who put that one loss on you. Of course, you beat me in the Super Bowl, so it doesn't matter. But, I have to feel a little good about coming in 2nd and keeping you from an undefeated season.

I'm starting to get Fantasy Fever to go with my Bengal Fever. OH YEEEAH!!! (in Mr. T voice)

Uhh, I hate to break it to you Tecmo, but I went down last year. The man to beat is the other fantasy football playing Bengalszone moderator, and Bengalszone Senior writer, Josh Kirkendall. He was last years champ. C'MON EVERYBODY!! DOG PILE ON KIRK!!!

**edit**BengalsDieHard was also a champ. We had 2 leagues.

Id love to be in it if there is a space as i wasent about early enough last year

Hopefully we can get enough experienced people to be the commisioners so we can have enough leagues to accomodate all that wish to play here. It was a lot of fun! I apologize about taking 2 spots up last season. I won't do that again.

I wasn't aware of this forum last year so I wasn't in your league... but I was a fantasy football fiend. I was in 5 leagues, went to the Superbowl in all 5 leagues, and won 4 of them. If you let me in your leauge... watch out.

A question for you all: last year was my first year playing fantasy football (not through this site, but at work) and I had a really hard time starting guys that were playing against the Bengals. Especially with RB's who, as much as I hate to admit it, were due for decent yards against last year's defense. Am I alone in this problem?

I can only imagine the trash talk that goes on around here once the season gets started, but does the guy with Jamal Lewis or Duce Staley have to bite their tongue?

Not if they kick some butt, and your team wins because of it! Last year was my 1st too. Play with your head and not your heart is what I learned!

When it comes to fantasy football, you always play with your head... meaning you play Jamal Lewis every week, regardless if he's playing against the Bengals or not.

Now, my head allows me to do this, because I know it will benefit my fantasy team, but my heart always is willing to take a L in fantasy standings for a W in the Bengals standings.

So to answer your question, go with the smart move from a fantasy perspective, but never root against the Bengals... if you find this too conflicting, I submit that fantasy football is not for you.

I actually take this to an extreme where I refuse to draft Bengals on my fantasy team, because I know I have them over-rated, but when it comes to playing my QB verses the Bengals defense... I'll play him, but root for Cincy to give me a big fat 0 points. It's never felt so good to lose in fantasy football.

I've done fantasy football the last two years, and I lost in the first round in 2003 and lost by one point in the semis last year. So when I play this year, that can only mean one thing...CHAMPIONSHIP!!!

I'm in when the leagues start.

I'll only be in if I get Kellen Winslow, Jr.!!! :P

I've been a fantasy league with all my buddies the last two years for money, and I have the worst luck in the world, as in Ricky Williams, trading Peyton Manning for Ahman Green and someone else who is not good enough to remember, drafting Eddie George, and Emmit Smith, for that matter, and having both of my tight ends and three of my WRs injured for 3 straight weeks.

Wait, did I mention that those were luck, because some of them were my stupidity. Nevertheless, I'm still in and looking to DOMINATE. :D

Count me in as well....

The league I am already in plays 2 QB's, 2RB, 2 WR, 1RB/WR, DEF and 1K.

Is the zone's similar?

first off, if u want into the league theres a special initiation. be over here at 6 next saturday.

second off, your a girl, girl's always do good at things that they shouldn't, like pick'em's, gambling on sports etc.

but for realz, fantasy football is pretty easy, u have your starters:

1 QB

2 RB

3 WR

1 TE

1 Kicker

1 Defense

and a bench of like 5 spots for whatever you wish.

theres a draft at the beginning where all the players for those positions are in a pool. and u go through like 15 rounds to pick ur team.

like say u end ur team like this:

Palmer QB Cin

McCallister RB NO

McGahee RB Buf

Moss WR Oak

Price WR Atl

Horn WR NO

Gonzalez TE KC

Vinatierri K NE

Atlanta Defense

and ur 5 bench players of course

Then for the first 13-14 weeks u have weekly matchups vs another person's team in the league, different person each week. The stats of ur players vs the stats of ur opponents players. starting lineups only count. pts are awarded per TD, Yards, etc u get the point. like 6 pts for a TD, 1 pt for each 20 yards rushed etc.

Then an 8 team or a 4 team playoff. 8 teams take 3 weeks, 4 teams 2 weeks, bracket style single elimination.

get it? got it? good.

wow that was alot....
