Ox
You guys crack me up sometimes. We are truly a big dysfunctional family sometimes.... Anyone else absolutely dying for football season to start?
BengalszoneBilly
Your belief in God and about how the organizations are run to worship him is exactly how allot of people feel but never expressed it so eloquently.....Beautiful post my man.....Wow. My posts have been called a lot of things, and most of those are within the confines of four letters. This has to be a first for "beautiful" or "eloquent!" There was a time when I thought I'd give poetry a try if it wasn't for the fact that I hate it so much! Simply too "light in the loafers" for me. I'm more of a "Limmerick Man," (you know the sort of humorous..."There once was a man from Nantucket" type jobs that are slightly longer than a "Hiaku"?) and I wrote a few Beautiful Limmericks there if I do say so myself! jungleboy73
Dysfunctional doesn't begin to descibe this great big family of Bengals fanatics. Nice pic BTW Big O. We could've been twin brothers........................................................split at birth, moved cross country, fed a little different, etc. etc.....Just kidding bro. The skin head and goat look good on ya. I bet the kids can relate to you better than anyone else in the photo.
The Big Orange
Thanks Jungle Boy, is that your kid in the Avatar? Looks like he (I think) is being brought up right with the colors. Yeah, that dysfunctionality is what made me think that a get together would be hilarious. We could get Captain Kirk liquored up and get him to admit that he's a closet liberal...video tape it and hack it onto his website.

The Big Orange
Hey, Billy, what did you think about the Bengals being rated 6th? Pretty wild, huh?
jungleboy73
Yep, that's my son, Bengal fan from birth(7years). Rich Braham made a fan for life that day at training camp last year.

walshfan
To rate us 6th is unrealistic at this point in time.... Id say somewhere in the middle of the pack and we work our way up with victory after victory!!! Im hoping the D-line can get the lanes open for the linebackers to make allot of tackles this season... Its all about making the tackles.. We missed allot of them last season... I dont think our neew D-Coordinator is going to put up with that this season.. We have some depth now and if someone isnt getting it done Marvin wont hesitate to put someone else in who will....
derekshank
I'm with you Walshfan... 6th seems like this list was written by someone on this forum. Totally unrealistic at this point, and maybe even a best case scenario. We've had two 8-8 seasons, and in no way deserve to be given this type of respect... yet. We'll certainly win more than 8 this year, but I don't know about having the 6th best record. I remember everyone had Dallas ranked up around this spot last year. All I am saying is I'd rather have reasonable expectations, than be depressed for full year that the Bengals didn't go undefeated.I have high hopes for the Bengals this year, but I think a lot of us are all counting on all our question marks to be answered with pro-bowl like seasons... and I'm just not sure how realistic that is. I sure hope I'm wrong, so everyone can remind me of this post when we win the super bowl... but I continue to doubt it.
The Big Orange
I thought 6th was a bit ridiculous. I think 11th is about as high as anyone with even a hightened sense of optimism should rate 'em. I believe this writer was trying to make a splash in a little known sports column and the way to do that was to try to get a rise out of people. Of course, it makes your heart skip a beat a little, but for all we know this guy could live in a shack in the shadow of PBS.
LesterLyles
I think this prediction by Peter King might be more typical. He doesn't have Cincy or Balt even sniffing the wild card spot.http://sportsillustrated.cnn.com/2005/writ...afc.pick/1.html King is a bufoon. He has picked Buffalo every year for the last 4 years and has not picked the Jets once. Buffalo is 0 for 4 and the Jets are 3 for 4. This guy never learns.
