HoosierCat
I haven't run into any mods who apparently suffered severe brain damage I'll take that as a compliment. Back on the subject of Boulware, if you don't like the "move Pollack back to DE" idea, then how about the reverse: leave Pollack to learn at OLB and use Boulware at DE instead of Clemons. I believe he was starting at DE for the Ravens in 2003, tho I don't recall if it was full-time or just in pass-rushing situations.Regarding Sharper, I hardly got upset when the bengals didn't sign him. Tough for me to be unhappy about something I said had a 0% chance of happening, isn't it? Tho I will admit I'm getting a bit tired of being right about these things; would be nice for the bengals to surprise me some day. Will they sign Boulware? Per bengals.com, there's no "immediate interest" and the browns appear to be the lead suitors. So...no.
HairOnFire
Back on the subject of Boulware, if you don't like the "move Pollack back to DE" idea, then how about the reverse: leave Pollack to learn at OLB and use Boulware at DE instead of Clemons. I believe he was starting at DE for the Ravens in 2003, tho I don't recall if it was full-time or just in pass-rushing situations. Frankly, the idea I like best involving Boulware is that he's not returning to the Ravens. Plus, I don't really care if he goes to the Browns for any number of reasons that are probably easy to guess. As for the Bengals, I'm like eveyone else on this one. There's got to be some interest due to his past relationship with Marvin, but the fit seems questionable at best, and I'm not a big fan of trying to jam square pegs into round holes. In addition, Boulware was cast off by the Ravens for refusing to take a cut in pay that reduced his salary to a level that has to be close to his current market value. That implies a poor fit on yet another level. But what the neck, talk to the guy and take a pulse check. See what his demands are. Find out about his health. Let Marvin determine how good the fit is. Worst case scenario you buy an old friend a meal. And even if there's no real interest you could possibly drive the price up for the Browns. HairOnFire
But what the neck, talk to the guy and take a pulse check. What the neck? Seems like I could use a better proof reader for my posts. (Malaprops to me.) There's a nice update on the official dot.com about Braham being very close to re-signing, Marvin defining his level of interest in Boulware, and most importantly to guys like me...some hard talk about Geathers playing an increased role with Justin Smith gaining more time at LDE. Kazkal
Joisey marvin doesn't like to let people know what hes doing before he does it so mybe he's using the stealthy approach for boulware.
HoosierCat
Anything's possible, but in the case of Boulware I doubt it very much. At this point, the front-runner appears to be Seattle (where his brother Michael plays). The Hags are still looking to boost their pass rush, and per the Seattle Times Boulware is expected to mosey into town sometime in the coming week. The Big Orange
Has anyone ever told you you're kind of unique?I was called that and a few other things each time I was banned for life from the Huddles board. That happened three times. Or was it four? It hardly matters, as I was there for more than two years and rarely felt like I could be myself without risking being promptly booted. So after weighing my options I came to the conclusion that I didn't care enough about fitting in to show the required restraint....mostly due to my feelings that there's nothing wrong with the way I post. No kidding, this is almost as bad as it gets and it doesn't seem all that remarkable to me. Besides, this is the way I'm wired. Changing isn't an option. BTW, I like this board as much for what it isn't as for what it is. Specifically, it's not as negative as Huddles, nobody shoves Bible scriptures down my throat on the main board, child-like political yammering can be easily ignored, and I haven't run into any mods who apparently suffered severe brain damage when their soft skull impacted against the windshield or steering wheel. Best, it seems a little more forgiving of those of us who don't fit into traditional poster molds....though I do find it a little disturbing that Big Orange had to stop posting pictures of naked fat men. I can't help it, they made me laugh. But then again, most things do. So now that I've gone all weepy for no apparent reason, which one of you fugtards wants a hug? Thanks Hair, I appreciate the support for my demented mind. I'd like to see somebody just try to cram Bible down our throats...as a minister I'd wipe the bloody floor with them. I've talked to God several times and I know personally that he is a Bengals fan and hates the stinkin' Ravens...he also likes the Raiders for some weird reason...I think Al Davis sold his soul to Satan and God feels sorry for him, or at least his future.I like this site because most guys call it like they see it. If I write something with substance or smart, they let me know. If I write something stupid, they let me have it. All football fans should be willing to get their mouth bloody from time to time. And if anyone is offended that a minister would talk in such a way they can kiss my... NJ29
Don't they have some change coming back from "The Soldier's" deal because he was wounded in (parking lot) action?which one of you fugtards wants a hug?Ah, what a thread, I've had some good laughs reading these posts. Way to stick up for Big O, Hair. Those naked fat men picks had me rolling too. :player:
