jonf45uk Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 hi, my name is jon and i live in peterborough, england. i've supported the bengals since first seeing them on tv in 1987. i'm 29 years old and i'm a freight train driver. After 2 winning seasons in 17 (!) i feel quietly confident about no.3 happening this year!!!My all time favourite player is boomer, and current is brian simmons.i think we've got a good young squad and if carson can avoid injury, defence toughen up against the run, then i think we could really challenge for top spot in the division.not too sure about drafting 2 wideouts and 2 more linebackers, but i'm sure marvin etc know what they're doing!!cheers jon f Quote

BengalPappaw Posted April 27, 2005 Report Posted April 27, 2005 Welcome! In addition to being a big Bengals fan, I'm a big soccer fan -- and I root for Manchester United (not every's favorite -- I know) and my favorite players are Ruud Van Nisteroy and Wayne Rooney.I think you will like the two new LBs and WRs, once you get a chance to see them play. IMO they will make the Bengals a much better team and helps us get to the 3rd winning season -- and hopefully the Playoffs. Quote
jonf45uk Posted April 27, 2005 Author Report Posted April 27, 2005 thanks for the welcomes!on the football-sorry soccer- side of things i support Queens Park Rangers, a relatively small side in the english championship. i remember seeing them beat man u 4-1 a few years ago. how times change!!back to things orange and black, ive seen good things said about pollack and thurman, and if they do as well as johnson, miller and williams from last year, we'll be looking very solid for the next few years.thanks againjon f Quote
