cHaD711Johnson
We signed him from Atlanta sometime during the season...He was a stud in college..I think at WVU?...I think he could push Perry for the backup job possibly, but I know injuries have hampered him...What do you think? jditty47
now that we resigned rudi...not on the bengals.
TJJackson
I actually have high hopes for this fellow, albeit I don't know much about him.I have alreayd lost all confidence in Chris Perry ever contributing here, so any replacement, aprticularly an inexspensive one, is a good thing. rickscott
I still find it hard to believe that after watching Rudi take over for Dillon in the later stages of 03 that we felt the need to draft a RB in Rd 1. That pick has set us back a ways when you consider what other position player we could have had in stead of this guy. I always thought Watson was a more than adequate backup and now with Wilson we're in good shape. I think Perry is here to stay at least for this year. TJJackson
Right. The player we should have taken at this spot was LB Karlos Dansby. Note what he has done in Arizone last year.
stuck
Speaking of AZ, I would have liked the B'gals to have considered Alex Stepanovich in the '04 draft, what with Brabham being a bit of a question mark even then, and Goff moving on to SD... walzav29
Who knows. We may all eat a little crow over the Perry pick, but it sure looks like the wrong pick. In hindsite though, Rudi was unproven. We may end up with a Brooks/Woods combo, and we all enjoyed that. All I know is that this is a nice feeling, having a draft where we are just filling in depth, and don't have to reach for giant holes like QB, RB, WR, or CB. walshfan
Alot of woulda coulda shoulda posts about Perry as usual... If Rudi gets hurt then they have a capable RB to carry the load.. Wilson was insurance as a short yardage back in case Rudi wasnt here this coming season.. Hence either cut and put on the practice squad or lose him to another team... makes no difference now. With Rudi, Perry and Watson the team is in good shape at that position...Id say a bigger worry is who's going to snap the ball the Carson if Richie isnt 100% and I dont think the battle worn body has a whole lot left....Im hoping they get Chris Spencer as soon as they can.. Palmer and Spencer toghether for the next decade looks good to me...
