Waiting for someone to email me something to finish a project...just for kicks I decided to take a stroll through the BengalsZone archives, back to the thrilling days of early March, 2004...and all I could think was, gee, why does this sound familiar? For entertainment purposes only, I present more evidence that the old saying is true: the more things change, the more they stay the same!

Let's trade an RB!

Let's sign an MLB!

Are we ever gonna sign Rudi?

Dude, I'd love to have your job.

Yeah, my job's great if you like sitting around during (alleged) business hours waiting for stuff, that never comes, untill approximately 4:59 p.m. every day, when it ALL shows up, and then working 'til midnight...

I've got the same problem and suprisingly, there is only so much on the internet I can stomach in one day, and almost all of it is sports related

I've discovered that I can waste infinite amounts of time on the internet. Even if I am at a complete loss I can simply pick some topic that interests me and google it to discover more info that I ever wanted to know about anything. The only good thing about the Web is that I almost never watch TV anymore...

Speaking of inappropriate content and wasting time on the net, I found this gem yesterday (boy has this thread gone off the rails or what?)...

'Ring Moans' Coming to Your Mobile

Reuters

SAN FRANCISCO -- Adult film company New Frontier Media has something new for mobile phones: ring moans.

Wireless content company Brickhouse Mobile on Tuesday said that under an agreement with New Frontier it would begin offering ring tones for mobile phone users featuring porn stars making groaning and moaning noises from the suggestive to the tantalizing.

I can just see getting a call in the middle of the big sales meeting...

I wasn't here then so your project results seem to be implying that my constant mocking of nearly every fan based trade proposal does little or nothing to change the overall message board landscape. Sadly, despite my best efforts....I've long suspected as much.

Just think about it though. If the Bengals would have let Rudi test the FA market without a tag then he might be a Dolphin today, the Bengals might be making excuses for just having been outbid for Lamont Jordan by the Raiders, and the news of Chris Perry's 2nd hernia surgery would have caused many of us to immediately blow out our foreheads.

'Tis true, 'tis true. OTOH, had the Bengals ponied up for Rudi last year we wouldn't have the franchise tag hit killing the cap, and they might not have felt the need to grab Perry in the first round and we might all be talking about how 2005 would be Randy Starks' breakout year after a good freshman campaign...

But that's why they say hindsight is 20/20 eh?
