Kirkendall Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 Clayton released a report on how much $ all 32 teams are under the cap. The Bengals are $8.6 mil.http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/columns/stor...john&id=2004973 Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 is that with the T.J. and Rudi deals or not. Because if we have that much money why aren't we spending it. Quote
CTBengalsFan Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 with the TJ deal, but remember Rudi hasn't signed the tender yet. Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 It still counts against the cap, tho, just like the RFA tenders. Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 So we are screwed is that what your saying? Quote
HoosierCat Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 No, I'm saying the Bengals have more cap space than they admit (not really a big surprise, it's to their benefit not to show all their cards, after all). As further evidence, look at all these visits: Trotter, Robinson, Thomas. According to bengals.com's numbers, signing TJ tapped us down to nothing; why then this parade of people we don't have the money to sign? Quote
Whur CHad At? Posted March 4, 2005 Report Posted March 4, 2005 good point. Why do the Bengal's do this though? No other teams do this. It just seems so wierd. We need to listen to John Clayton rather than Hobson i guess. Quote
