bengalboomer7
No I don't but neither one of those guys were tagged. Once tagged, if that player signs with another team we are guaranteed two FIRST round draft picks. So he signs the tender tag and then you trade him for a second, makes it look like we got jobbed
HoosierCat
Look, you want to do a trade, here's my concept:Bundle Warrick, Rudi and Kitna. Shop them as the Instant Offense Package (just add football!). Chicago? Miami? Detroit? Heck, if Farve retires, Green Bay?Don't wait! Call now! Order by midnight tonight and we'll throw in Kevin Kaeshviharn ABSOLUTELY FREE!!!
shworge
Once again, the Bengals are slow to start at the FA market. Who would you like to see them make a run at? I was interested in Pat Williams but he was focused on Minnesota all along, and did we really want to pay a 32 year old DT 4 - 5 million per year? Bengals have said all along they are going to focus on retaining their own, I never expected them to be big players in this year's free agent market. bengalboomer7
History says that it is unwise to try and build a team through free agency. Maybe that's why the Skins haven't already spent 60mill, they finally got the idea.

Actually, this year has seemed pretty quiet compared to some others. Fewer big-dollar deals, I think, too. Yeah, Jordan got a bundle from Al and Rabach made out pretty good off Snyderbrenner...but overall most of the deals have been in the "market value" neighborhood. And there appear to have been very few, if any, bidding wars going on.I remain unhappy that the Bengals haven't been more agressive in freeing up cap space -- the Steelers just opened up $4 million by restructuring 3 guys, it was announced today -- but at least they kept TJ. You should get 90% of your roster through home grown talent and just tweak your team through free agency.
