cincy9275
cheating is cheating period all the juiced players should be banned from baseball and all the records or stats should be removed. i don't even watch baseball anymore because of all the juiced players baseball to me it is on the same level as the wwf. it's a joke and i really would like to see congress put there foot down and press charges on some of these cheating bastards
bengalboomer7
I agree that it's a joke. But I prefer Congress to stay out of pro sports. This is the asses that runs baseballs fault, and they should be getting more of the blame than guys like Bonds, Mcgwire, and Canseco(I am NOT saying they don't deserve all of this, though). You can't tell me they didn't supect anything. But because of strikes and the declining interest of baseball, they used roids to save the game. I am all in favor of the public stoning of Bud Selig and Donal Fehr(among others, probably a lot of owners too)
jjakq27
I love this guy...not.http://msn.foxsports.com/mlb/story/3482436Bonds says he might miss '05 season Associated Press SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (AP) - Leaning his head on a crutch and repeatedly saying he was tired, Barry Bonds said he might miss the entire season following his latest knee surgery. "Right now I'm just going to try to rehab myself to get back to, I don't know, hopefully next season, hopefully the middle of the season. I don't know. Right now I'm just going to take things slow," he said Tuesday after meeting with San Francisco Giants trainer Stan Conte for 1½ hours."I'm 40 years old, not 20, 30."Conte said Bonds went through a "normal rehab six days out of surgery" on Tuesday and that his knee looked as expected."I expect he'll progress as knee patients go," the trainer said, offering no prediction of when Bonds might be able to play again. The seven-time NL MVP, who begins the season third on the career homers list with 703, returned to spring camp Tuesday following last week's surgery. He made his remarks while sitting at a picnic table outside the Giants' clubhouse with his 15-year-old son, Nikolai, at his side.Bonds said he was tired and disappointed following a winter in which he was accused of steroid use, his grand jury testimony was leaked and he had two knee operations. He blamed his troubles on the media."You wanted me to jump off a bridge, I finally did," Bonds said. "You wanted to bring me down, you've finally brought me and my family down. ... So now go pick a different person."Bonds had his latest surgery last Thursday in the Bay Area. Though the Giants have not set a timetable for his return, Conte has said it's unlikely he'll be ready for opening day."My son and I are just going to enjoy our lives. You guys wanted to hurt me bad enough, you finally got me," Bonds said. "I'm mentally drained. I'm tired of my kids crying."Teammate Moises Alou, who has had five surgeries, said Bonds probably was just having a bad day."Maybe today he was not very optimistic. I think it was one of those rehab days where you just caught him on one of the bad days," Alou said. "It's not fun when you come to the ballpark, then have to go to the training room to get taped and get treatment."It's not as fun as when you are young and wild and doing things, especially when you are the man."Bonds trails only Babe Ruth (714) and Hank Aaron (755) on the career home run list. He hit a season-record 73 in 2001.Last September, the Giants dropped a provision that would have allowed them to void Bonds' $18 million salary in 2006 if he failed to reach 500 plate appearances this year or 1,500 combined from 2003 to 2005, including at least 400 this year. jjakq27
I heard on the radio that he is alos being accused of accepting cash payments for card shows. Didn't Pete Rose do that? Didn't Pete Rose get busted by the FBI and the IRS? Didn't Pete Rose do time for his crime? We'll see if BB gets the same treatment.
Kirkendall
Did you guys see the interview on SportsCenter? He sounded like a big ol' baby blaming EVERYONE for the mistress accusations AND steriods AND his tax problem a few years back. He still blames everyone but himself. As a sidenote, as it was pointed out on another show, Barry's son was wearing a Barry Sanders jersey. Hint? Probably not, because Bonds hasn't a clue, but clever making the media take 15 minutes out of scores and highlights from SportsCenter -- I blame Bonds for THAT! The San Francisco Chronicle reports that Ms. Bell (his mistress) has not only testified that Bonds admitted to her that he used steroids, but that he gave her $80,000 from autographing baseballs in increments of just under $10,000 to avoid currency transaction reporting requirements. Federal prosecutors do not look kindly upon such activities.http://sfgate.com/cgi-bin/article.cgi?file...MNGJKBS9QM1.DTLI believe Rose's problem was tax evasion, which he pleaded guilty for, serving 5 months in federal prison. bengalboomer7
Needless to say, baseball is no longer America's pastime. I don't think it will ever fully recovr from the huge pile of s**t it sat in(which, in turn, was created by themselves so they have no one to blame)

I don't think it will ever fully recovr from the huge pile of s**t it sat in(which, in turn, was created by themselves so they have no one to blame) Baseball didn't create this. What baseball did was fail to address it hoping no one would notice about all the problems. Guess a little egg is on their face. That was the point of the hearings, to find accountability. But MLB didn't start this mess, just allowed it to happen. People like Bonds should be treated more villainous than Selig -- as much as it pains me to say that. Pete didn't pay tax on the cash he received and got busted. I am sure that BB paid all of the tax he was suppossed to before he dispensed this $10K gifts to his gal friend.
