Kirkendall
http://www.bengals.com/press/news.asp?iCur...=0&news_id=2753Good job team.
rob_justdmb
You know the best part about this is when he was first hired it was "If he makes them respectable, he can get any job in the league he wants." This type of thing is making that true, although the only job he'll want is the Bengals job. There really seems to be the type of loyalty between Coach and Mike Brown that will keep him here for a Cowher like reign, even though it's sort of against the trend for that to happen. Kirkendall
Through the Age of Helplessism, I always thought the only way for the Bengals to succeed was without Mike Brown. He's starting to make me a believer that he can change his ways and field a winning team; which always starts at the HC.

membengal
Incredibly good news. This is what relaxes me about the personnel decisions that have to be made this off-season...ML clearly is still comfortable with the direction here. rob_justdmb
ML clearly is still comfortable with the direction here. Maybe I'm too old school here, but every time I see "ML" I think, "What the hell did ML Harris have to do with building team speed?" :-)
BengalszoneBilly
It's very uncommon for the Bengals to make a news release about a head coach, and his contract, and it's a good thing for all parties involved. I mean those things just didn't happen too often during these past 10-12 years.I like it Mike. Keep it up! :player:
Bobcat Bengal
Great News!I love Coach Lewis. I hope he never goes anywhere.(but didn't he already have an extension before? )
Kirkendall
(but didn't he already have an extension before? ) Yea, he got a one-year extension after last season. I think this extension gave him $2 mil a year.

Pandre
This is great news. Marvin is going to be the man to take us all the way. You just gotta love him (even if he is from Pittsburgh).

jjakq27
How bad was Dave Shula? With three more wins, Marvin Lewis will equal the number of wins that Shula got in over 4 seasons. Five more and he will tie Bruce Coslet. Six will make him the fourth winningest coach in team history. It's interesting to note that only two coaches had a record above .500, Forrest Gregg and Bill "Tiger" Johnson.Sam Wyche 1984-91 64-68 Paul Brown 1968-75 55-59-1 Forrest Gregg 1980-83 34-27 Bruce Coslet 1996-2000 21-39Dave Shula 1992-96 19-52 Bill Johnson 1976-78 18-15-1 Marvin Lewis 2003- 16-16 Dick LeBeau 2000-02 12-33 Homer Rice 1978-79 8-19-

I love the Bengals man, but that's just sad! 3 8-8 seasons and you're 4th all-time. Thank GOD The Age of Helplessism is over.

BengalNation1281
This makes me very, very happy. It also makes me wish that August would HURRY THE HELL UP!!! PLAYOFFS, B**CH!!! Knowing this inspires confidence that I haven't experienced all that often as a Bengals fan.
