They began the season with training camp drills. Now they will end the season showcasing their skills.

Michael Vick, Peyton Manning and Tony Gonzalez are among the NFL All-Stars slated to participate in the inaugural “Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Presented by Ameriquest,” which will air on ESPN from 6-8 p.m. ET on the eve of the 2005 Pro Bowl, Saturday, February 12. ESPN’s Trey Wingo, Suzy Kolber and Tom Jackson, and Rod Woodson of NFL Network will host the show.

NFL All-Stars will compete in several football-related events in the “Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Presented by Ameriquest,” including the Strongest Man, “On the Mark” (QB accuracy), the Fastest Man (40-yard dash) and the Best Hands.

Ameriquest Mortgage Company is the presenting sponsor of the Pro Bowl Skills Challenge. Other sponsors include Coors, Pepsi and Subway.

In addition to the “Skills Challenge,” there will be a “Legends” game featuring 14 former Pro Bowl stars, including Pro Football Hall of Famers Marcus Allen and Mike Singletary, and quarterbacks Dan Marino and Steve Young, who have been nominated for induction into the Hall of Fame this year.

NFL player appearances at the “Pro Bowl Skills Challenge Presented by Ameriquest” are coordinated by Players Inc, the marketing subsidiary of the NFLPA.
