ShulaSteakhouse
That Jamal Lewis 75 yd TD run at the end of the Baltimore game was the worst for me as I was there and the Bengals were just getting back into it.That was pathetic, watching Caleb Miller (or Nate Webster can't remember) bounce off of Lewis like a rag doll along with 2 other pathetic attempts at tackling him in the hole with no blockers in front was awful, right at the LOS too. This is why Belichick wins with what seems like a bunch of no names - guys wrap up and tackle properly - there's no trying to get on the highlight films with big hits every play with wimpy shoulder tackles and throwing your body at someone. If there's one thing Marvin needs to improve on with this team it's discipline - the penalties, celebrations and poor tackling and everything. Tiger Stripes
yea the tackling sucked during the begining of the year but it started to get better later on.
ArmyBengal
One play sticks out in my mind as one I celebrated the most:Shayne hitting the last second FG against Baltimore to win and break thestreak of road losses against winning teams. I was going ape s**t !!!WHODEY !!!
ArmyBengal
Oh yeah, the play the irritated the hell out of me, was watching Brady completethat freaking pass from his ass. I know I know, coulda, shoulda, woulda, but holy s**t me to tears, that killed me.WHODEY !!!
HairOnFire
For me the most positive play was Palmer's across the body throw late in the game against Baltimore. Any doubt I had about the Bengals winning that game disappeared on that play. By comparison, the most negative play, in my opinion, was Palmer getting knocked out of the New England game. Defying all logic, I was absolutely sure we were watching the makings of a comeback against the world champs before Palmer limped off. redsfan2
No particular plays ........... you guys covered them pretty well. Generalities then : Watching Palmer go deep and the receivers making those catches. ( smiling right now ) .......... Season breakers ........ Not able to stop anybody from running all over us ..... lack of pressure on opposing qb's .... leading up to #1 getting killed on 3rd and long ( big plays ) Having said that, I'm already psyched for next year. Look Out play offs !!!
BengalNation1281
Shayne beating Baltimore would be tied for #1, with the 32-yarder that Palmer threw to TJ on the sideline on the winning drive of that game being just as good in my book. That pass was one of the best passes I saw any QB throw all year.Worst would be the Polamalu INT return for a TD in week 4 at Pitt, followed by the fumble at Tennessee and Jamal's 75-yard TD in week 3.BN1281

I know I know, coulda, shoulda, woulda, but holy s**t me to tears, that killed me.WHODEY !!! That play ticked me off too. Brady became overconfident the next week, thinking he could complete any of his passes from his rump. Unfortunately, you can't get away with that when playing a half-decent defense. BengalNation1281
Unfortunately, you can't get away with that when playing a half-decent defense. Or letting a sub-par offense take your defense to the woodshed. Can't really get away with that, either.BN1281

williamnminor
After a great punt and great punt coverage nothing made me more sick than watching the f**king Clowns complete a 99 yard pass play for a TD on the very next play. That game and play was the lowest our season got. there is my no
WhoDey42
Two plays that stick out in my mind (not necessarly the best and worst plays, but just two that stick out):The pass from Palmer to TJ in the Giants game left me speechless. I know that we were just playing to try not to have a losing season, but that catch by TJ was amazing.Palmer getting the Saftey at the end of the Steelers game really sucked. joseph
5 Best Plays1) TJ catch where he absolutely got laid out going over the middle and still made the catch, got up and drop the ball by the defensive players head. Toughest play ove the year, and had a big impact on how I saw TJ as a football plarer. Before that I had always though he was a little tentative going across the middle. He earned his bad azz badge with that catch though. 2)Chad Johnson's diving catch. There were so many good ones I have trouble rembering them individually, but I if I rember correctly there was one where he just made an amazing over the shoulder diving grab and then rolled into the endzon. Sweet!3) Deltha Oneils interception for a td vs Denver. Monday night nuff said.4) Carson Palmers throw to Chad Johnson in the Baltimore game. If I rember correctly it was 2nd-3rd and short and they were just barely in FG range with time running out. Palmer took the snap, read the coverage, saw Chad had single coverage and lobbed about a 20 yard pass to him inside the 20. Ballsy throw, but the right read and right throw. He showed at lot of confidence in himself and Chad with that throw. Plus it was just a beautiful pass, a lob with a tight spiral perfectly placed. 5) Another Chad Johnson diving catch. It was early in the season, 1st down I think and Carson thru an ehrent pass and Chad made one of the most amazing catches I've ever seen. He was breaking away from the pass, stopped instantly and dove back the other direction and made just a smove azz pluck on the ball while laying out almost completely horizontal to the grand. The man must have had glue on his hands that day!5 worst plays1) That cheap shot by the Broncos player on Tony Williams. There just isn't any room in the NFL for plays like that. It was real bummer that Tony season ended on a bunk azz play like that. I hope that guy got a huge fine. 2) Kevin Kaeshverhan getting blown up by Jamal Lewis in the hole on his way to a long TD run for the second time of the day3) Kevin Kaeshverhan getting blown up by Jamal Lewis in the hold on his way to a long TD run the first time. 4 Carson fumble against Tennessee. They were right there, right there and uh,uh oooooooo. If Carson had a chance to do one play over again from last year that would have to be the one. 5) Chad Johnsons performance in the first game with the Browns. He sends them Pepto Bismo bottles during the week...Gets national exposure for the smack talk he's laying down. Then goes out and doesn't do s**te. Sorry Chad, but that's embarrasing. If you're going to go out of your way to talk smack and let every football player and fan in the world know about it, you sure as heck better back it up. It was the Bengals' last chance to preserve a non-losing season and somebody had to step up and make a play in a very low-percentage situation. TJ had to get free enough to draw the throw, go way up to get the ball, and have the hands and concentration to pull it down. Say what you will but it's the guys that can turn it up a notch in situations like that that make the difference between losing teams and winning teams. TJ is a money player. BengalNation1281
That catch was definitely one of the finer moments of the year...I went ape-s**t when he caught that, and the people in the bar were looking at me like I was crazy. But why have most people put "That pass that Palmer threw to TJ..."? That was Kitna, baby! All Kitna, all the time!BN1281
HoosierCat
meh RUDI fumble @ NYJ for a td. Yup. That play killed me, too. Rookie QB in his first start, patchwork defense thanks to injuries...the one thing we couldn't afford was to have our key vets choke... That 99-yard Garcia-Davis TD in the first Cleveburg game sucked, too.Jamal...'nuff said.Back to the Cleveland game: I can remember about 9 bad plays by Chad "Pepto" Johnson... Kitna throws an INT in the endzone vs. NE...typical... That Kitna-to-Spikes TD pass in the Buffalo game was sweet... On the good side, there was the whole 4th quarter in the second game in Baltimore. And the 4th-quarter drive by Palmer to finish off the Fins. TJ's circus catch to win the Giants game...
BengalNation1281
Kitna throws an INT in the endzone vs. NE...typical... So Jon Kitna threw an interception into triple-coverage in the end zone in the midst of a comeback...happens all the time But I'm still a fan.Oh, you brought up something that wasn't on the list that should have been...the drive at the end of the Miami game was exceptional. Palmer looked like a rookie for 58 minutes, and then for the final 2 he looked like a seasoned vet. I should have known then that he would be a good QB...but I was stubborn.BN1281
