Maybe it was only one incident, but it was one too many.

Damn BengalNation1281, I thought I was a hard-ass! I don't want to be in a baseball game where you're umpiring. One strike, and you're outa there!

I don't have cable.

No cable or satellite!?! How do you survive on just the airwaves? You must be a stronger man than I!

I find ways to get by, Billy, but it gets really hard sometimes. :(

And have you never heard of the "one strike and you're out" rule? Okay, maybe I made that up... :P

But you get my point.

You know too much already! :D

Actually I know only because we just posted his birthday message here in the General Discussions forum just a month ago! You guy's do realize we have other forums here don't you?

Believe me...I hardly possess the mental facilities to enable me to remember the exact ages of particular Bengalszone members beyond a handful or two of the regulars around here! And further more, if you pour a drink or two in me you'd be lucky to get an accurate count of my own age outta me!

WHAT, forums not related to cincy, I'm Shocked! Really you guys should be ashamed!

No, no you schmuck! Forums for topics not related to SPORTS in general! Like this conversation for example!

Cincinnati topics are common there. Skyline started one a while back about the different purveyors of fine Cincinnati Chili. Go figure. From what I've seen from your posts, you're certainly not afraid to comment on anything, so you'd fit in well there!

Okay...enough from me of this off topic sales pitch for the other forums available here. I think you get my drift. B)

Letting Rudi go for Shaun is like letting Carson go for Eli. Rudi has so much potential that letting him go would be ironic. Sorta like rain on your wedding day. Dont 'cha think?

Since BN has half dressed women on his sig., I'm putting a half dressed picture of... Tom Brady on mine :o !

I'm sure jditty will agree here 100%.

I'll go post an announcement on the Pats board! Get ready for a huge influx of "light-in-the-loafers" New England fans!

Who Dey Again and CTBengal:

I am sure that Shaun Alexander is a great guy,  but to come out of a game that your team won to clinch the NFC West and say that your coach stabbed you in the back because you lost the rushing title by 1 yard shows that there is a definite selfish streak.  Maybe it was only one incident, but it was one too many.  There are far too many players who deal with disappointment without mouthing off and blaming their coach that get overshadowed by the players who are negative when things do not go their way.

That was a fairly strong response to my post.  I'm sorry that you feel that my opinion is so wrong, but trust me, it has nothing to do with ESPN.  I don't have cable :) .

BN1281

An NFL running back with a selfish streak?! How can such things be?! Running backs are some of the most egotistical people on earth. You think that Shaun Alexander is the only running back with a selfish-streak - that can actually play? Get real.

What do you think these guys are anyway? They're not choirboys or eagle scouts with congress dust dripping off of them. They're freakin' jocks. The guys you see trolling the local clubs, knocking up hapless skeezers and trying to get out of it - running trains on hotel whores - maybe knocking their old lady around when they lose, or when their playing days are over and they can't cope with the frustration of not having the excitement of the game and of side women hanging off their *@#%s.

You take a kid out of East Buttsuck, Kentucky somewhere and make him an over-night millionaire with a very brief shelf-life, and you're surprised that he has a selfish outburst? I've known enough of these guys to know they're a mixed bag - all the above in many cases plus devoted fathers and all that good, wholesome white-sox-and-milk stuff.

I don't give a rat's ass what they say as long as they don't kill anybody or something like that - hell I don't even care much about Ray Lewis being a murderer. They're there to play ball. Putting much more stock in them than that is misguided hero-worship. *#%@ the fantasy; let the games begin.

Not to hear Willie Anderson tell it:

the more ornery Dillon got, the more the locker room became anti-Corey. "Guys didn't know him," says Anderson, who attended Bible study classes with Dillon.

Dillon & Bible Study. Now that's a combination of words you wouldn't expect to see hooked up in the same sentence now would you? Jon Kitna...sure. I'd expect it. Corey Dillon? Yeah...I'm sure! I've heard this guys off camera use of extreme profanity, and personally I have no problem with it, but he sure didn't learn it in no Bible Study!

No. My mom smokes a corn cob pipe, drinks rye and fights men for recreation. She shuns football players 'cause she says they're a bunch of ass-pattin' sissies.

hopefully that rumor is true, id love to see rudi go to the dolphins

Rudi.. ..Dolphins.. ..phunny stuph. :lol:NOT while Marvin's office door reads "HEAD COACH!

Rudi is cool. Unlike some of you people on here Billy.

Oh! I'm not "cool" in your book anymore? Well to quote Mr. John Mellencamp:

"Oh yeah...life goes on, long after the thrill of livin' is gone."

Listen "Not", if you came here to be cool, you came to the wrong place. Until our Bengals get into the playoffs and win a game there, all "coolness" will continue to elude us. Unfortunately.

However...

I do believe next season, the door to this Nirvana, this land of "coolness" will open over Cincinnati and the Bengals so that we ALL may walk tall and proud through that portal. Out of this darkness we have endured for much too long. May you and I walk through together. B)

Hard to imagine the Fins would be even able to sign Troy Hambrick if the $17 million over the cap reports are true. Even dropped to $10.5 million w/ cutting Fielder before his roster bonus kicks in.

Looks like Saban will have to deal with not signing Knight and Greenwood and maybe cutting Zack. Not to mention trading down #2 for as many 3rd and 4ths as they can get.
