Why would anyone give a Schat about what he says? I mean I have never heard of him until you posted this.

Why would anyone give a chit about what you say? Maybe it's just me, but I'd tend to agree more with someone who covers football for a living for ESPN than some troll who obviously has no clue about Carson Palmer.

He is a 2nd year QB. Not first year.

Let's not get out of control because Carson had one good game

He is a first year starter, and played in his first game the first game of this season asshat.

Lets not get out of control because Carson has had 3 4th quarter winning drives, and has kept the team in every game this year...

Now STFU before you make yourself look even more like a typical Browns' fan. Dumb and Dumber..

First of all, there is no apostrophe in Browns. Asshat.

I don't think that Carson has kept the Bengals in every game (3 INT's against BAL in week 3. 148 passing yards against Cleveland in week 6)

If I remember correctly he has had only 2 4th quarter winning drives (Miami and Baltimore)

First of all, there IS an apostrophe in Browns' fans. It's called using the possessive. Of course being a Browns' fan, you don't know anything about the possessive tense, only the past tense.

Secondly, despite throwing three interceptions against Baltimore, in the fourth quarter, when he threw his final interception, the Bengals were behind by 4 points, the touchdown pass was intercepted IN THE ENDZONE. So, up until this play, he had them in the game. Don't forget, he is also the only quarterback to throw for 300+ yards against the Ravens defense in this year, and he did it TWICE, almost winning the first game and winning the second game.

As for week 6 against Cleveland, he certainly wasn't helped by almost a dozen dropped passes that should have been caught, and a flat out admission by Chad Johnson that he failed Carson Palmer.

There are 3 4th quarter winning drives.

The first was during the HOME OPENER, his second start in the NFL, where when push came to shove at the end of the game, against a good defense, he did what needed to be done to win the game with 30 seconds left to play.

The second was against Cleveland only two weeks ago, where Carson Palmer managed a drive that resulted in putting the Bengals up by 3 in the 4th quarter. This was sealed with 1 minute left when Deltha O'neal picked off Holcomb's pass and returned it for a touchdown.

The third was against Baltimore with a perfect drive in the last minute resulting in a field goal with no time left on the clock.

Now then, other games he has been in but not quite made it, since you are too ignorant to know anything about Carson Palmer.

Week 1 vs. the Jets. With 2 minutes left, he drove down the field and nearly won the game before making a mistake and throwing an interception. But, without that interception, he could have tied up the game and sent it into overtime. I'll take that for his first start.

Week 2 vs. the fins. We already discussed his last minute drive against Miami.

Week 3 vs. Baltimore. Once again, we discussed the fact that his 4th quarter interception ended a drive thah could have put the Bengals ahead.

Week 4 vs. Pittsburgh. He blew this one, throwing two late interceptions, one of which was good for a Steeler TD and the other that ended the drive to pull within 4 points.

Week 7 vs. Denver. Carson and Chad made a fool of Chump Bailey for a big win on MNF.

Week 8 vs. Tennessee. With 35 seconds on the clock, at the 16 yard line of Tennessee, Haynesworth sacked Palmer and forced a fumble. A touchdown on the drive instead of the forced fumble puts the game into overtime.

First of all when I first read your post I thought you wrote it like this Brown's not Browns'

Second of all I am not a Browns fan.

So you are saying that 3 4th quarter wins are good enough to excuse 4 4th quarter miscues? That doesn't make sense to me.

Look, I like Carson Palmer. He is on my fantasy team. All that I am saying is McNabb had a better week.

Not back tracking.

I still think McNabb had a better week.

WhoDey42 said that Palmer had the biggest stat of all and I refuted that point.

For now...yes. He's basically a rookie. His numbers are better than Elway's, Manning's and Aikman's their first years as starting QB's. His upside far outweighs any mistakes that he's making. I'll gladly accept his performance this season if it means great things to come in the future

Look, I like Carson Palmer. He is on my fantasy team. All that I am saying is McNabb had a better week.

I believe in your first post in this thread read

McNabb has a playoff victory.

Does Carson?

Not quite sure what that has to do with either of their performances last week.

How can you vote against a QB that set franchise records in yardage, and TDs in a half....McNabb didn't even play the whole game...

32/43

464 Yards

5 TDs

0 INT

In less than a full game.....

Plus. with his 14 straight completions to start the game....he ran his total to 24 straight completions, breaking the all time consecutive completions record, previously held by Joe Montana.....you homers confuse the heck out of me.

McNabb did it against a piss poor defense. Palmer did it against one of the best D's in the league and the best scoring Defense in the NFL. That's what is more impressive, cause torching GB isn't.

I understand your argument, and it is well said...

Sports Illustrated on McNabb

McNabb did something practically never done before.....there is something to be said for that, whereas there have been many 4th q air attacks to comeback from a deficit.

Actually, Baltimore has never lost a game when up by 14 or more points. They were 35-0 going into the game when leading by 14 or more points. And that is at any point in the game, not even just a 14 point lead in the 4th. They are now 35-1 in those scenarios. Just wanted to clear that up and confirm that Palmer did indeed do something that had NEVER been done before. Not "practically" never, but actually never. :player:

Because WhoDey42 said

"Too bad they don't have the biggest stat of all: Carson being the only QB to pass more than 300 yards against the Ravens and he did it TWICE. "

And I said that I think a playoff victory was the biggest stat not throwing 300 yards on a team.

Asshat, this award isn't about LAST YEAR OR ANY PRIOR YEAR. It's about THIS WEEK.

McNabb had a good game, agaisnt a really really really bad defense.

Carson Palmer had a great game against a top defense.

Jackass!

An asshat is a jerk, moron, retard and f**khead.

And McNabb had a great game against a bad defense.

Palmer had a great game against a great defense.

Palmer threw 7 incompletions and 3 of them were

on the final drive to stop the clock !!!!

300+ yards and 3 tds vs. Baltimore is MUCH better than 450+ and 5 tds vs. Green Bay.

Baltimore is NOW the #6 defense in the league against the pass, they were ranked #4 prior to Carson's big day. NO OTHER TEAM in the league has surpassed 200 yards vs. Baltimore, Carson did. Baltimore is the 8th best overall defense in the league now.

Green Bay is #30 in the league against the pass and has allowed over almost 300 yards per game ON AVERAGE. Green bay is the 6th WORST overall defense.

McNabb's game was only GOOD. Carson's was Great.

Oh and YOU are an asshat.

Still 39% to 39%?

Anyone know where to find the actual votes behind those percentages?

And, yes, Palmer's game last week was FAR better than McNabb's...the opponent and location of Palmer's game versus Donovan's game makes any other argument stupid.

The Cleveland game is the third. Down 48-44 he lead a 7 play 60 yd drive with 6 and 1/2 minutes left. He was 3-3 on the drive with a key third down conversion to Chad Johnson for 11 yds that got the Bengals into Cleveland territory. The game was then sealed 4 minutes later.
