Bobcat Bengal Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 ok ok u guys are looking at the 2 situations completely wrong. first the fine, its funny as hell and its for the fans to do a celebration vs the pittspuke if he gets a TD. He wont get a penalty, im sure he knows what will get him a fine and what will get him a penalty. 2nd, the pepto thing is for charity, the more ppl that bring pepto to the game, the more sales pepto had and the more money going to charity. You guys always look at the negative i swear to god. *hugz chad*No one's looking at the negative (at least I'm not). I'm just saying, Chad shouldn't say anything this week. If he wants to pop off, save that for the Bills game. But c'mon man, don't pull a Gerard Warren and add fire to the NFL's hottest team. (right now)'Just know when to fold 'em'....(or something like that)'When keeping it real goes horribly wrong' Quote
BengalsMan3203 Posted November 17, 2004 Report Posted November 17, 2004 I have no clue why everyone gets on Chad for what he does.LET Chad be Chad. Its whats best for the team. When he says something... everyone is going to stop and listen to him. When he says We are going to win on Sunday... He will make sure he does his fricking best to get into the end zone to win the game. Get off the guys back. He has talent, and skills. Nothing wrong with a lil talk on thw side... its 2004 not 1979. I under stand what your saying... But you can't take Chad out of his elements... Yes Marvis is upset with Chad... We all know what kind of system he runs... But Marvin deals with Chad daily and let Marvin do what he wants... But let chad say what he wants... It may look bad on paper... but it sure looks a hell of alot better on sunday afternoons. Quote
CTBengalsFan Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Champ Bailey, the current leader in votes for the Pro Bowl, a guy noone else has beaten, a guy quarterbacks AVOID throwing in the vicinity of, got OWNED by Chad! It takes more than just one guy to beat our defense. We attack the quarterback so Palmer won't have time to even think about throwing it to him.McNabb and TO couldn't even figure out the Steelers. They were about to fight on the sidelines because of how frustrated they were.Steelers are going to dominate on Sunday! I can't wait until we steam roll another team yet again...I love it! Just like in the Pats game, the Eagles main runningback was injured and they had no running game. So when you know that they're going to be throwing you're right it isn't too hard to shut them down. Rudi isn't injured however, and like it has been pointed out he's the only back to get 100 on your defense this year. He got over 100 against Denver when they were the #1 defense, he did against Washington last week when they were the #1 defense, and he's already done it against you once, and I believe with the "Rudi" chants going on, he'll be able to repeat the feat once again this weekend. We ended a streak last year at home this week, and I fully expect them to break another. :player: :player: Quote
cdnbengals_fan Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Oh, dont get me wrong either, Chads amazing, I just hope something he does doesnt affect the team-which it probably wont but you know. If its just a fine, obviosuly he doesnt care, and if it doesnt get us a penalty then go for it. Hopefully he wont look like a fool though and wait for a good time to do it. If we beat the Steelers though, its gonna look great Quote
turningpoint Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Why does everyone think the steelers are so good?s**t the only reason they beat us last game, was because of that bol s**t they called on torey james for a perfectly defended pass in the endzone. Quote
cdnbengals_fan Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Steelers are good..very good. But the Bengals are no push overs either. Even if some Steelers fans think so, this game shouldnt be easy for either team. Quote
jditty47 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 media is bashing chad for it. saying hes ruining the chemistry of the team and its retarded to askt he fans for money to pay his fine when he makes millions. ITS 1 f**king DOLLAR, f**k the media. Quote
schweinhart Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I like the fan involvement of bringing a $ to the bucket. Should get fans at PBS juiced to bring even more ruckus. No penalty, no problem. If there's a penalty, Bengals should fine him too.Chad putting the pressure on himself is all right by me. As long as he performs like he is capable of.I just wish he would have guaranteed the W But understand he don't want to speak on behalf of the whole team again. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 Question Mr. Legend: The Steelers do have one loss, to the Ravens in Baltimore in week #2. Baltimore's admittedly weak offense scored 30 points on your Steeler defense. Are you saying that Pittsburgs defense never has an "off day?" Granted, nobody got over 100 yards, including Boller's pass yardage, so aside from the one INT of Ben's for a TD by the Ravens in the 4th quarter, how did they win by such a margin? Quote

ITS 1 f**king DOLLAR, f**k the media.Exactly. They like to make things bigger than they are. I dont care what the media thinks, I just dont want the coach to get too pissed by it, and possibly hurt the team as a whole. I dont think its a huge deal, and I like Chads style, but if it really bugs coach Lewis then Chad should probably watch what he does. Quote
walzav29 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 This guys is killing me. Hopefully he matures. If not I think he'll be a whining girl like T.O, Moss, Horn and the countless others that are nothing but a distraction. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I can't believe anyone who HEARD the comment didn't realize it was a joke! The only distraction this had was for MORONS IDIOTS AND FOOLS, along with the media who could use it as a soundbite to have something to say.It was clear when he said it that it was a joke. If this is killing you, I hope you don't cross any bridges, because they can kill you too if you are dumb enough to take a huge freaking leap from them too. Quote
jditty47 Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 im mad that he retracted it and said there wont be a collection and it was just said for fun. there should have been a collection. someone make a bucket and set it up at the gate. Quote
Kirkendall Posted November 18, 2004 Author Report Posted November 18, 2004 My only complaint is this could fuel the Steelers fight. I don't care what Chad does, but I do care if it effects the opposition's will to give us another loss. Quote
Black'n'Orange Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 I gotta agree with Ditty. It was a joke. Let it go. And I hope it does fuel the steelers. Bring your "A" game. It makes it that much sweeter with a Bengal victory. Frankly, I'm tired of the media saying the teams that we beat, were not playing their "A" game, because, they were playing the Bengals. Quote
The_Next_Big_Thing Posted November 18, 2004 Report Posted November 18, 2004 You know, they should set up a bucket at each of the gates clearly marked Chad Johnson Feed The Hungry Donations and donate it all to the freestore food bank! Quote

Yeah, I mean Mikey surely would've let him set up for a 25% cut.To put it out there and then retract weakens Chad's credibility. If you're gonna run your grill, do what you say. If you can't do what you say, then shut the f*ck up.Or scorch Steelers DBs for 2 TDs this week Whatever works. Quote
oldschooler Posted November 20, 2004 Report Posted November 20, 2004 Chad was joking ! I think it is sad when the Bengals have a WR that set a franchise record for recieving yards his 3rd season, has 2 thousand yard seasons in his 1st three years, loves playing here, and brings fun and entertainment BACK to the Bengals...and people bashhim for it ? Why can`t people just let Chad be Chad and watch him grow and blossom into the BEST WR IN BENGALS HISTORY ?!!!!!! Quote

cdnbengals_fan Posted November 21, 2004 Report Posted November 21, 2004 Yeah I'd agree too. If theres one thing Chad isnt, its a lazy/effortless player. He puts a lot of effort/time in and takes the game very seriously, but likes to have some fun. As long as it doesnt affect the team in a negative way, let Chad be Chad, and let Bengal fans enjoy what he does. Quote
