MexicanFan
I gees Bratkowski is scared about Palmer’s interceptions but he isn’t helping, he is doing a QB just like O'Donnell that always threw 0 to 5 yards passes Bratkowski should send him plays for more yardage (even in 3rd and 12) and use the great arm of Palmer who can throw an easy 15 yard pass instead, and develop a QB just like Manning . I think Bratkowski is killing our great Quarterback.

Tampa Bengal
I think it's Carson just being a rookie. Those are mistakes rookies make, we are just going to have to deal with them until he gets it worked out. If Palmer is still making these kind of mistakes this time next year then bench him. kybengalsfan
Hey, of the the fingers we can point at for last week's humiliating loss, I believe Palmer would be the last on the list. The ten dropped passes where thrown RIGHT TO THE RECEIVERS!!!!!! Figure it out, had the receivers caught the thrown passes he would have been 30/36 and we win the game. Palmer probably threw better against the Turds than in any game he has yet played. He is not the reason for their horrible season. If our defense were 16th instead of 32nd, he would be looking better than Big Ben at Pittsburg.
ShulaSteakhouse
If our defense were 16th instead of 32nd, he would be looking better than Big Ben at Pittsburg.I agree, Palmer's #'s would be better than Ben's easily. They need to start running the ball more often on 3rd and short also. After listening to Lapham tonight and the mistakes guys are making in formations and coverages on both sides of the ball, it's amazing they've won one game so far.As for guys not lining up correctly or missing assignments - I have to blame the coaches ultimately, there's no excuse for that and we've been hearing the same thing here regarding that for years. Paul Alexander is a crap coach also, he needs to go once and for all.
WorldBFree
I've noticed a lot of missed blocking assignments by the backs as well. On 3rd and long, it makes no sense for the backs to run past a blitzing linebacker on a 3 yard route when blocking that linebacker will allow Palmer to have the time to find a receiver who is downfield. Palmer does look uncomfortable in the face of the pass rush, but bringing in an extra tight end to block and keeping the backs in the backfield on pass protection make more sense than having them run out on "hot routes" when they won't be able to pick up the necessary yardage anyway. The gameplan isn't giving Palmer the best chance to succeed. Bratkowski deserves at least some of the blame for this. Hopefully he adjusts for the Broncos blitz happy defense.
HoosierCat
I'm not worried about Brat hurting Palmer's confidence. What I am concerned about is that Palmer may lose -- in fact may have already lost -- confidence in the players around him. I'm not just talking about the drops in the Cleveland game, but also the poor o-line play all year and the lack of a running game. Many people complain that Palmer is rushing throws sometimes, or looks tentative and confused, etc. Those can be signs of a rookie QB, but they can also be signs of a QB with little confidence in the players he's leading. Until Carson feels comfortable in the pocket and with his wideouts, and has the time to look downfield, we aren't going to get that explosive passing game we've been promised. And if the;line keeps whiffing on protection and the receivers keep dropping balls, that'll be a long time coming.
Barbarian
I think Bratkowski is killing our great Quarterback. Are you being serious??? I'll actually agree with that. Drunkowski has called too many pass plays. It's just pathetic Kindergarten-like playcalling.Jesus, Drunkowski!!! Go have another. Ya lush!!!!
