walzav29
This is grasping at straws, but did Marvin make defensive calls last year? I thought I remember Lewis saying he spent too much with just the defense and would spend more time with the rest of the team. I'm hoping that it's just a matter of Frazier sucking and now Marvin will take over the defense. I remember last year that the D was definitely tougher at the beginning of the season. The last time it was close to respectable. I'm driving from Michigan with a Broncos fan Monday and I'm dreading it. I'm trying to find a way to have a bit of hope. Scottishbengal
Marvins expertise is Defence - so if Frazier doesn't cut the mustard then I'm guessing he'll be on borrowed time. That leads to the question of who else is/would be availble as a D Co-Ordinator??I'd be dreading the drive back to Michigan with the Bronco's fan - that is unless the Bengals stump up a W and then you can relax and enjoy the whole journey home!PS, if the Bengals do win - I'd make the Bronco's fan do the driving! walzav29
I read that Frazier likes to blitz alot like Buddy Ryan and that leads to big plays where Marvin prefers making a team make long drives. Wouldn't it have made more sense to hire a defensive coordinator that has a similar style? I don't get that.

Blitzes=big plays, which=short drives, then a score by the other team...versus...No blitzes=no big plays, which equals long drives, then a score by the other team. How 'bout this to replace BOTH of thoses moronic ways of thinking, Marvins way or not:Defense holds their offense to three plays for a total of LESS than ten freakin' yards=they in turn punt the ball back to your team=YOUR team can score the points!! I can't believe nobody but me wants to try the third option!
