walzav29
Well it appears another season will be a debacle. We have no defense, there is something seriously wrong with Warricks knee (all of preseason and 2 games with a bad shin?), that's 2 games where they could have won it or tied in the last 2 minutes and not only did he not get a touchdown, but he threw 2 int's! This seems alot like when Coslet came in and was a "tough guy". Remember? They finished the year 8-8 and next year they were back to sucking. It seems like defensive guys like Parcells, and Coughlin can turn their defenses around in 1 year. Our defense has gotten progessively worse every damn week. Our schedule is death. Dillon is goiung to run for 300 yds against the Bengals. I do think that Marvin cuts guys he hasn't drafted. I refuse to believe that they couldn't be just a little better against the run they are now if they would have kept one of those slobs! Oh well, at least we won't have that pesky problem of being dissapointed at the end of the year. It's nice to get it over with early. They suck. kybengalsfan
Man, I thought my disappointment was great! I now know why the Bengals can't tackle: the opposing player have been using Slick 50 on their uniforms!I also have that sinking feeling that we will have another losing season. Patience my rear end, I want to kill something :player:
walzav29
That's what I'm talking about. I f we were going to go through these stupid "growing pains" then we should have just thrown Palmer to the dogs last year. What the hell was last year anyway? It seems completely different. He should have gotten rid of Dillon in camp and started Palmer then everyone could come up together. Everything is screwed up. I knew our defense couldn't tackle, but to find out the offense can't tackle either is real dissapointment.
vettespd20
Ok first off this is a very dumb topic!! ITS OVER BABY??? Come on give me a damn break. Fans who say its OVER after week 4 are not real fans and are just plan stupid. If the bengals were 4-0 this post would be named WHO_DEY!!!! This season is not over. Even if we dont make the play offs this is a VERY IMPORTANT SEASON. And dont compare Lewis to Coslet, this isnt even close to being the same thing. The Bengals team, and Corp. is not no near the same as it was then. This is a team that has a great future and will win games. I think we will have a strong mid and ending season maybe not playoff material but a good foundation. Palmer made a bad interception pass and the other one was not his fault. He didnt have a awefull day. Ya the interception TD pass was the worst thing possible that could have happend but he has played 4 reg season games in his NFL life. The NFL is the best players in the world, not like college so s**t like this is going to happen. Just tired of people being so simple minded. walzav29
Obviously you're some new bandwagon fan that got swept up in Marvin mania. Anytime you want to compare football IQ's just let me know. I'm just tired of getting my hopes up and we always have these ridiculous beginnings to the season. So screw you. I've went through all of the miserable years and I'll be here next year while you'll have a Patriots hat on this time next year.
San Antonio Bengal
It seems like defensive guys like Parcells, and Coughlin can turn their defenses around in 1 year. But Marvin has absolutely nothing to work with defensely when he came here. Parcells and Coughlin would have similar problems until they rebuilt the defense.
walzav29
How come they can build it so much sooner? Why draft Perry when we have Rudi and we are so painfully in need of a DT? Look at the damn Cardinals. I'm not positive, but I bet their defense is ranked higher than ours. We have played teams that are supposed to be decimated by injuries. A rookie QB schooled our defense yeaterday.
BengalBobNC
You know....never mind. I'll just say this: Some people have got to start looking further ahead than last Sunday.Sick of losing? Sure, who isn't. But anyone who brings up 1991-2002 as a reason to be upset with this year can't see how much better off we are. We may end up with a bad record this year. But no one, and I mean no one, will convince me we are not on the right track FINALLY with Marvin Lewis as head coach. You can not compare the 2004 Bengals with the 2003 Bengals:Kitna enjoyed a healthy o-line last year - we don't have that yet this year.We have injuries all over the place. Warrick is a HUGE injury. A third down specialist! We got.........f&ck it. I'm tired of repeating the f&cking obvious every time I post a reply to something like this. Our future FINALLY looks so bright some of you people must be f&cking blind not to see it. No offense to anyone who is/or knows someone visually impaired. I'm just pissed off.
ShulaSteakhouse
Our future FINALLY looks so bright some of you people must be f&cking blind not to see it.I'm not seeing it yet either honestly....this team's noticeably worse than last year, and this year's draft seems to have netted them nothing but projects and depth fodder and not a single impact player. But according to the holy savior Marvin "they'll keep working at it." Sounds like frickin' Lebeau. You'd think they won the Superbowl last year by beating the Chiefs at home and going 8-8 around here. All i know is that they supposably hired a "defensive genius" as a HC and his defense to this point has still not performed better than 28th in the league and is on a pace to almost break the all-time rushing yards given up in a season by a team. Throw out the Miami chump game (Miami's closest game yet) and they've given up I believe 1,400+ yards rushing in the last 7-8 games - that's so pathetic. If I were Marvin i'd be knocking over water coolers and threatening coaching and player's jobs, and quit being such a dolt in press conferences about it. It took 5 years to build the Ravens defense! Five! You do not turn around the laughingstock of the NFL for 12 straight seasons in 1.3 seasons! If I were Marvin i'd be knocking over water coolers and threatening coaching and player's jobs, and quit being such a dolt in press conferences about it.I'd be willing to bet he is doing just that. RedsFan75
.this team's noticeably worse than last year, and this year's draft seems to have netted them nothing but projects and depth fodder and not a single impact player. While I'm still out on the draft, I don't think the team is noticeably worse than last year. Last year at this time people were calling for Kitna's head. Screaming to put in Palmer. Well, Palmer's in this year, and now people are screaming for his head and put in Kitna.Stat's wise, they are errie in their similarity. The difference, is Palmer has more INT's. But he's still a rookie as far as playing time goes.Week 4 last season saw the Bengals at 1-3 with losses to 2003-09-07 Denver Broncos L 10-30 2003-09-14 @Oakland Raiders L 20-23 2003-09-21 Pittsburgh Steelers L 10-17 2003-09-28 @Cleveland Browns W 21-14This season, we have a 1 - 3 records with Losses toNew York Jets BALTIMORE RAVENSPittsburgh Steelersand a squeaker win over Miami.Defensively this season has been tougher so far, yet the records are the same. and the QB stats are Very similar. The OL is weaker, and more injuries than last year, The D looks like the set of MASH, and last year was pretty solid.Yes I want more wins, Yes I want Palmer to excell. and NO I'm not ready to pack in the season yet. mello2dope
if the bengals don't show any life on defence this year. you know next years off season gone to be the same as always. none of the better free agents are gone to sign. just like last year. BengalBobNC
Understood, I hate losing too.1991-2002 was not Marvin Lewis' fault. Nor was it our fault. As much as anyone wants to blame Mike brown, you got to admit, the Bengals luck in the draft was 50-50 at best during that time. But to keep bringing up the past when we have gotten past that, or so I thought, is ridiculous! We drafted six guys on defense who need to get experience just like Palmer. It took 5 years for Lewis to build the Ravens defense. How long has he been our Head Coach? Give the man some time.
kybengalsfan
Okay, agreed give it some more time. How much time do you give the defensive line to improve? After the disasterous way we ended last year, thought the goal was to improve it. Didn't happpen.

What the hell, some people are so quick to jump in and say that people are bandwagon fans when they have no clue. You dont see me making negitive post when the bengals lose, and then see me talk all positive when they win. I am a DIE HARD fan and always have loved them even when they have only won just a few games in a complete season so screw you!!! Its funny how people are so quick to get offended when REAL FANS give them there input. ITS NOT OVER and the Bengals will bounce back. I am not just saying this to be positive its the facts. No one needs to pantic and flip out and go nutz damn, everyone knew this was going to be a up and down season. So far more down but things are going to get better. Its been rough so far and hard to watch and hope that things are going to happen but ITS NOT OVER BABY!!!

I'm f**king pissed and I'm tired of losing, and I can't blame any Bungles fan for critisizing the team. I'm tired of having nothing to cheer about every season. The last time the Bengals were in the playoffs I was in third grade!!! I'm tired of this sh!t....f**k patience!!!!

BengalszoneBilly
support them no matter what and dont give up on them. Vette, these folks may be out of patience and really bitchin' about being sick and tired of waiting for the Bengals to start winning, but the fact that they are even here posting is proof they haven't given up. I did the same thing after the loss to Baltimore at home a week ago. That was a game I really thought the Bengals should have had, so going into Pittsburg to play the Steelers this weekend, I expected the Bengals to play the same and lose on the road as they usually do. Obviously they played down to my expectations and didn't let me down. BUT...I was ready for the loss, and wasn't that upset. That's not saying I like it. I don't. It sucks big sweaty donkey balls matter of fact! What's more is I'm still out of patience with the poor play, even poorer coaching, and the poorest front office in the NFL, but realize what else am I gonna do? Jump ship and go root for a team like the Patriots just because they're winning and currently the class of the league at the moment? I don't think so. That ain't me. Win or lose, I'm sticking around here with the Bengals...sweaty donkey balls and all!
