The Official Bengals-Dolphins Gameday Thread

All right, gentlemen, I know it's early, but we have a whole day of football to go before we get to see our Bengals. Right now, the Ravens are handling the Steelers 10-0, and they are looking much tougher than last week. I then have to sit through the Browns/Cowboys snoozefest at 4 o'clock. Then, finally, we will get to see some Cincinnati action.

What are we looking for today?

1. Defense. There is no other way to say it. We absolutely must make a good defensive effort today. Last week was terrible, and we must improve if we expect to make any headway towards becoming a playoff team.

2. The passing game. I am pretty interested in seeing how Palmer and co. respond to what should be a much better defense than what we saw last week. If our offense can run all cylinders today, the outlook is great for the rest of the season.

I'm in total agreement with Edward on both points. These two will be very telling of the Bengals fortunes for the rest of the season. We MUST see improvement by the defense along with continued progress by the offense.

IMO, If Carson and company can be as productive as they were against the Jets, we'll be okay in that department. With ANY improvement by the defensive squad, we'll be okay overall. :player:

To be able to pass against the Dolphins, we will need to run it first. If we can't get the running game going early, Carson could have a few problems...

The expected returns of brian simmonds and deltha will help the defence some experiance will help calm down the younger guys so id expect a much better performance from the defence against the fins.

if carson continues the way he played against the jets then if will be very promising indeed and the Oline needs to start getting things together otherwise it will be a tough day with no running game.

the only bad point is if i want to listen to the game its gonna be a 1:30am kickoff for me and im up for work at 8am

Sod work its the bengals they come first!!!!! :D :player:

im interested in seeing our running game get going this season. I cant wait to see what they do with perry. Johnson better have a better game than last.

Also will be interesting to see if our linebackers can stop the run this time, mb just mb we can keep a fast runningback between the tackles.

Got to like the odds for more LB stoppage.

Less experience O-Line as a unit than last week.

Starting Fins RB learning the offense on the fly.

Hardy and Webster should be out ro redeem themselves for last week in a major way.

I was about to post something like this. Nice post, Skyline.

The Bungles NEED to establish the run before passing--especially at home. The offensive line needs to knock some f**king heads off. The way to do that is to dominate on the ground.

On the defensive side of the ball, the Bungles NEED to stop the run!!! The Dolphins' Passing Game usually stops itself.
