Starting if off with Bengals.com nugget.

although the coaches don't partake in the all-star games, they are involved in the draft process more than most coaching staffs, and Taylor says Golden's knowledge of college rosters is going to be used before and after the draft.

Once again the coaches aren't scouting in depth as in former years at the Senior Bowl games.

Interior O Line Nuggets:

Jax State guard (Webb) was very impressive from what I watched.   Overall the Interior DL was very good thus alot of interior oline guys struggled.

Other odds and in from around the webb:

Quote

@NDSUfootball OL Grey Zabel, who played the last two year at tackle, getting some early work at center — likely his best NFL position

Quote

ery impressed with

OL Anthony Benton so far at

practices. He had a handful of 1-on-1 wins at tackle and guard

Quote

North Dakota State had an offensive lineman drafted in the first four rounds for three straight years from 2021 to 2023 (Cody Mauch, Cordell Volson, Dillon Radunz). I expect Zabel to join them in that club this year. He has taken snaps at each spot on the offensive line, but he really stood out at both guard and center during Tuesday's practice.

Webb didn’t see a ton of top flight competition playing in Conference USA, but he wasn’t overwhelmed by the massive defensive tackles of the American Team. The 6’3, 310-pound guard more than held his own against Kentucky’s 6’7 Deone Walker and Ole Miss All-American Walter Nolen.

North Dakota players impressed just about everyone.

Tight Ends are impressive group.    Write up from NFL.com

Tight ends put on a show. As Lance mentioned earlier in this post, Elijah Arroyo was one of the standouts of the first practice on Tuesday -- and I had a chance to talk to him and Miami head coach Mario Cristobal about Arroyo's breakout season in 2024. Arroyo finished the first practice with a great catch and was a clear winner from the day.

Then the second practice began, and LSU's Mason Taylor was giving Arroyo a run for Tight End of the Day honors. He's also the son of former Dolphins great Jason Taylor, who was on the sideline watching his son's every move on Tuesday.

"He's a natural route runner," Jason told NFL Network Insider Tom Pelissero. "(He) catches the ball naturally ... kinda takes the ball out of the air and doesn't fight it."

The younger Taylor, who checked in at No. 35 on Daniel Jeremiah’s initial Top 50, ran great routes and made several eye-opening catches -- including a one-hander on a ball from Alabama QB Jalen Milroe that was outside Taylor's frame. Taylor also stood out in the blocking sessions as he tries to prove he's an all-around tight end.

Edge:    From NFL.com

Two edge rushers separate from pack. The two leading sack artists in the FBS last season, Boston College's Donovan Ezeiruaku and Marshall's Mike Green, drew a lot of eyes during the National Team's morning practice on Tuesday.

And both showed out -- but not just as pass rushers.

Ezeiruaku checked in at 6-foot-2 and 248 pounds. Green measured in at 6-3 and 251. Those are not massive numbers for NFL pass rushers, yet each player set good, hard edges in the run game during Tuesday's session.

Interior DL

From NFL.com and now various sources:

Quote

Omarr Norman-Lott was the quintessential “f things up” player today. He played with the frenzied energy of a Tasmanian devil and paired that tenacity with some impressive technical skill. Norman-Lott’s power and motor had opposing offensive linemen fighting for their lives to stay attached.

But it was his jump off the snap and ability to time snap counts that had him living in the backfield.

Quote

Omarr Norman-Lott, DL, Tennessee

Unlike a lot of players on this list, Omarr Norman-Lott's biggest flashes came during team periods.

Norman-Lott showed impressive explosiveness and snap timing to disrupt plays for the offense during team period, even forcing a fumble with his disruptiveness. That made things a whole lot harder for the offesne to work their plays, forcing the issue on the team's guards.

He's not the most well-known DL prospect on his own team, but Norman-Lott certainly made a strong first impression on Tuesday.

FYI: From the coverage I watched the Tenn DT was very impressive.

Quote

Nolen is my top-rated defensive tackle in this year’s draft class because of his explosiveness and productivity on all three downs.

In Tuesday's practice, Nolen stormed through his one-on-one matchups. He consistently was able to get on top of blockers with a big burst off the snap and pushed them into the pocket with relative ease. There were some up-and-down reps during the scrimmage phase, but overall, Nolen did what he needed to do maintain his standing

Darius Alexander from Toledo a mountain of a man.   Had a good showing on Day 2.  I'd expect to see him on "winners" list from several people.

WR:   Several outlets.

Quote

Jaylin Noel, WR, Iowa State

Explosiveness and verticality are where Jaylin Noel wins on tape, and he put that on display in one-on-ones against Senior Bowl DBs in the first on-field practice.

On top of that explosiveness, Noel showed off impressive body control and deceleration to adjust to the ball deep downfield, including in the clip above while keeping his feet in bounds for an impressive haul

Quote

Royals is a big, strong wideout who measured in at just under 6-feet tall and 210 pounds at the Senior Bowl. On tape, what stood out most about him was the way he attacked the position like a pro. That was once again the case throughout practice on Tuesday.

He's going to have a size/strength advantage against almost every defensive back covering him this week, but it was the way he ran his routes with efficiency and created throwing windows that impressed me. He played inside and outside at Utah State but projects as a tough possession slot in the NFL.

Quote

Jack Bech TCU WR: There are always prospects I’m excited to see compete at the Senior Bowl after studying them on tape, and Bech was one of the players at the top of my list this year. He measured in at just over 6-foot-1 and 214 pounds in Mobile, but his hands measured smaller than I expected (just under nine inches) for a receiver who almost never drops the football.

Not only did Bech show off those sticky mitts on Tuesday with the way he snared throws outside his frame but he also got after blocking responsibilities heads-up and on toss cracks. He was the same player that I saw on tape, which should help him this draft season. The 40-yard dash still awaits this spring to help him answer the last big question I have about his game.

CB:

Quote

CB Maxwell Hairston (Kentucky) Hairston is a borderline first-round pick and made a strong case to hear his name on Day 1 in April. The 5’11 corner didn’t let opposing receivers breathe Tuesday and used both his athleticism and his physicality to stand out.

Quote

CB Quincy Riley (Louisville) Riley had some tough tests Tuesday, including plenty of matchups against the Iowa State duo of Elijah Higgins and Jaylin Noel. The 5’10, 192-pound corner was up to the task, running step for step with receivers all day and playing with sound technique to make life difficult for some of the best pass catchers of the draft class.

Kentucky CB got a lot of praise from NFL Network guys.

OT:

This guy has made a lot of "standout" lists.

Quote

Anthony Belton, OT, NC State

Another OL who kept dominating one-on-ones was Anthony Belton.

The NC State prospect looked like one of the strong linemen down in Mobile. One of his best reps came against the elusive Donovan Ezeiruaku, swallowing up a spin move attempt and making the Boston College EDGE regret the decision.
