whodeymuskie
Hello everyone, This is my first—and likely last—post here. I just needed to vent to others who might share my feelings. Since 1968, I’ve held season tickets with the Bengals and have a double-digit pin number. Unfortunately, that will be coming to an end after this season. Over the years, I’ve had a lot of fun, especially tailgating, but I’ve also spent thousands supporting a team that seems indifferent to its fans. I’ll admit, the past three years have been fantastic, and that’s all thanks to Burrow—not the Brown family. Zach Taylor has consistently relied on Burrow, Higgins, and Chase to save the day; it’s become almost embarrassing. The way they let go of key players like Jessie Bates speaks volumes about their commitment. I’ve held 11 tickets, with 7 seats in Section 140, Row 9, and 4 in 310, Row 2, since Paul Brown Stadium opened. Plus, I’ve invested countless dollars since 1968. I truly wish the best for all of you, but I can no longer support a franchise that doesn’t care about its fans.
whodeymuskie
Also, the Brown family & Duke Tobin loved to quote the term "super bowl window" all offseason long. What did they do to help the defense? So long, me and my family are unfortunately out after 60 years supporting the team. It's a financial issue but also a rational issue. There is no defending this front office / organization anymore.
HoosierCat
Can’t blame you. I’m two years older than the franchise and it seems determined to make sure I die disappointed.

But now, I'm realizing I've spent over $10,000 a year for little in return. I love Burrow, but the front office didn’t prepare us well for this season. As I get older, I can’t justify that expense—I'd rather invest it in my kids.
Nazzgul99
If I had season tickets I would cancel them as well. The head coach and defensive coordinator both need to go away. They need to find some quality coaches. They have the tools just no direction. Prob the best offense in the league, and yet makes no difference if they can’t stop anyone on defense. This should be an eye opener for the ownership to make changes new head coach new defensive coordinator. They literally can’t do any worse.
ArmyBengal
For so many years before I retired from the Army, all I wanted to do was get season tickets like my dad had when I was growing up. I never did. I have been to many games but not nearly the amount it could have cost me had I gone that route. I still love my Bengals, but I’m picky about when and which games I attend. Like I’ve heard so many times… When I die, I want Bengals players to be my pallbearers so they can let me down one last time.
ArmyBengal
That being said, last night was a prime example of why I still go some of the game. Primetime game, the stadium was rocking, and the Ring of Honor celebration for a couple greats. Then you get to the game and as irritating as the results were, you had big plays and got to see an upcoming star in Daniels. Those two TD's to Chase saw the stadium explode and my son and I were going crazy with the rest of the fans. I mean those times can just be electric and make memories for my son and I that attend the games together. Just like being at the Raiders playoff game, seeing the curse broke and just being with the fans in that moment in time. I was almost in tears when we won that game, fans stuck around to bask in the playoff win and my son still talks about that. Then there are the memories I have with my father. I saw every team in the NFL play when I was young. Some of the all time greats. I was at both the freezer bowl and Super Bowl XVI with my dad when I was 10. My father and I had a tough adult relationship, but we always had the Bengals to keep things on the level. As much as the Bengals infuriate me, they hold a place that brings a lot of joy my way. I think that's why people won't ever stop supporting the team. Such is life...
glasgowbengal
Since I saw fleeting highlights of Super Bowl xvi on uk tv, I’ve been all in on this team. Saw my first live game in 1990, as an 18 yr old @ San Diego and have arranged life events and holidays around travel to the US, for a game, almost every season since 2008. Ive never felt so utterly apathetic about this organisation - as we all feared, 2021 and 22 were the exception rather than the norm. The Browns and the FO continue to do no more than nibble around the edges of what it takes to make a successful team. Having to explain to the wife and kids why you’re in a stinker of a mood after going to bed at 4am, no longer has much appeal. EVERY game is now a play off game for this outfit. Let’s see if anyone gives enough of a shit to get them out of this hole.
AMPHAR
Gave mine up in 2017. 1996-2017. All I can say is don't rush into the decision. The results suck right now, but the atmosphere is great. The end result sucked. But the atmosphere is better than anything I've experienced in the NFL. It is getting close to what you would experience in a SEC stadium (close not exact). See if you can resell, recover some of the cost. Re-charge your jungle meter and re-think the decision in the off season. I really wish I would have never given mine up and probably will buy them again at some point.
