roar loud
ok guys look, there going to lose games, even the best lose, what counts is when you lose, and were you lose, say beginning of season, or middle of season, or end of season. dent let this preseason falcon game get you pissed off, because were probley going to lose a few more games this year, but the key is when we win. yes early is good but i will take them any way they come, i would much rather start strong, then come on strong at the end of the year. i also dent think marvin will show his mark on the defence this early, he will open a bag of schemes, and they will be good defenders. so please dent let this game get you down, nothing more then a learning experience, and dent think carson wont get sacked again this year, because he will, its football, he is not perfect yet. i predict they make the playoffs, not because iamb a bengal fan, but rather a believer, we deserve it. yea your going to here people say vic did not play, and we still kicked your asses, well thats fine but , would have to say the bengals thought they would roll south and kick some ass easily, you know combing off that nice win, last week with the champs. but we cant take no game softly, we must want every game and be stingy, and want to destroy the other team, have the same desire that they had with the pats game. we thought we would roll over falcons ,and got rolled over. we will be afc champs in our division no problem, giving we fight for every game. dont GET BIG HEADS, JUST PLAY SMART BALL. go bengals. volcom69
i agree im more upset about guys that get hurt then weather we win or lose yes it would be nice to win but i dont want to loose players its just preseason so im not worried about it. they can learn from mistakes, and look around the nfl teams are getting beat bad look at peyton manning threw 2 ints last night and 1 against the jets so people are having bad preseasons and so are there teams so im not going to sweet weather we win or loose i just want healthy players for the opeaner coming up soon. we will bounce back mavin will let them have and they will learn from the mistakes they made. and remember this is palmers 3 game as a starter he does not look that bad for only starting 3 times give him time to learn he will be fine. jditty47
dent i agree though. palmer didnt look horrible and he didnt have 3 of his main targets to throw to. when he fumbled the safety wasnt even blocked, the line needs to pick up on the blitzes better. Kirkendall
I expect this team can beat anyone in the league. That's the lovely parity of the NFL today. Now, if we can't get a fire under our ass and continue the sad performance like Atlanta, I don't expect us to win 6 game -- the coaches didn't do a good job getting their team ready to play. Excuses. This team, as a whole, looked pretty awful. Carson is getting paid mega amounts of $ to move the ball, to command the offense, to lead. I didn't see that much Saturday. However, I do think the coaches, if blame is to go around, failed on their end. This team was not ready for much of anything Atlanta threw out at them. Hopefully it's a lesson learned and we can continue.
skyline
the coaches didn't do a good job getting their team ready to play. Maybe, maybe not. It was bad for a lot of reasons.I have no idea what was said in the first post, but I agree with the sentiment. I think this is the best thing that could have happened to us. It's a reminder to the players that nothing will be given to them. Even after a big win, they have to spend the next week working as hard or harder than they did for the upcoming game. wookie
Personally I don't think the team needed that reminder. They were told to start looking at next weeks game as soon as the Patriots game was over. The blocking didn't hold up, Palmer had to make quick decisions and throw earlier than he wanted to. I would challange any QB to stand there and perform much better. I can think of only 1 or 2 who would be up to it.I agree, its funny to want to correct spelling or grammer in a fan forum, but when you try to read something that poorly written it can give you a headache. I do agree with the sentiment, I've been trying to say the same thing on other threads. I have hoped that they will be better than last year, but only by maybe 2 games. That would still be enough to get them into the playoffs. The coaches were only preparing the team for a preseason game, they will have much more in store for a regular season opponent. Staticx682004
Atlanta showed more in preseason than they should have they were going to win no matter what.We showed nothing, looked to me that we where very conservative,on o@d our play calling sucked. Our players were out of position bad tackling and no pass rush.It sucks for the D line to get pushed back 3 steps every time atlanta hiked the ball.Rember its only preseason, these things happen heck the pats lost too. Will they throw in the towel heck no...... semiotter
Hey guys im glad this happened now so MARVIN and the other coaches can work out the bugs(or try). This doesnt mean a thing just like last weeks big win, it dont mean nothing. So hang in there guys we will be fine, this is not the old BUNGLES of the past and the rest of the other N F L teams know this. :player: :player: :player: :player: :player: :player: :player: :player: GO BENGALS GO

jditty47
dude the whole team played like garbage and wasn't prepared. Even Kitna fumbled, how often did he do that last year? I gaurantee what happened saturday won't happen in the regular season or marvin's gonna have his foot up someones ass. Now lets focus on getting healthy and preparing for the colts. One game at a time, this season is broken down by every single week. We worry week to week, every game matters, even this weekend. I feel we have a hell of a team. Once carson gains some experience, and gets a killer instinct...its over :player:
HoosierCat
dude the whole team played like garbage and wasn't prepared. Their heads were a couple of games down the road. I think I agree with what chrish said in another thread, namely that they weren't playing very hard. Like the Pats the week before, they were just going through the motions; starters were thinking primarily about getting through the game without getting hurt, not making plays.I guess it's understandable to some extent. Camp had broken, the starting lineup was pretty much set, and Atlanta would be the last game in which the starters would see significant time before the opener. I think they'll bounce back once the regular season starts.
