Football Gameplan's 2014 NFL Draft Grades - Bengals

If Wilder can/will play teams, I could see him displacing a guy like Peerman or Burkhead (he doesn't).

If he can block/catch, I could see him pushing Charles out of the H back role.

In going back and looking at Wilder you can see the progression of him dropping through the rounds.

At one point he was considered a 3rd round talent.

Boom, shoulder injury = 4th round.

Boom, concussion = 5th round.

Arrests = late round to UDFA.

He's exactly the kind of guy I have ZERO issue with seeing the Bengals bring in as an UDFA.

I really love the mentality of a guy like Peerman or Burkhead, but if Wilder shows up with his head on straight, he's going to be tough.

I think Wilder makes the PS but the Bengals are now so deep at RB it's hard to see him cracking the squad, unless injuries occur. I agree with what Harvey wrote yesterday, I think they UDFA with the best shot is Feigt, just because OT is still thin.
