Help this ole casual fan learn a thing or two!

Practice Squad Questions:

1. How many players can be on the practice squad?

2. Are they contracted with the team?

3. No other team can sign them?

4. Are PS players part of the roster of 53?

5. Can they be activated immediately if they are needed?

6. If a player is activated from the PS, does the team HAVE to replace him?

7. Is there a time limit to replace him?

8. Can they replace with anyone that isn't already property of another team?

1. I believe it's 8 but one has to be a QB.

3. Any other team can sign them BUT they have to sign them to their active roster.

5. Pretty much. Not during a game tho.

8. As long as the player in question still has practice squad eligibility, yes.

I think the PS limit is 8, regardless of position. In other words,one of the eight does not need to be a QB.

As was shown when Cleveland pinched our own Reid Fragel from our PS during the season.
