Just want to say that its a strange time here in the Cleveland area.

Yes, The fans here feel they have a chance to win the division.

They will be rooting heavily for the Ravens which may be a first in this area. Seems odd, but its the truth. Of course as any homer town. They believe the ravens will win as the bengals don't step up for big games and the Browns will beat the Bengals in Cincy to put them in a tie for first.

Of course these things can happen. But, nothing would make me more happy than to win this week and next putting the division effectively out of reach for all involved.

But one thing is nice and I dont think has ever happened since the Browns were moved.

Bengals and Browns 1 and 2 in the division.

Wow

Gutted by the Baltimore result and fearful of the Browns game - however we have home field advantage and this game is huge in terms of the AFCN title challenge for all except Pittsburgh :lol:/> :lol:/> :lol:/>

The Bengals will win this game and will control it from beginning to end. I haven't been as confident about a game all year.

Book it.

Help me get to where you are brother !!!

After two straight weeks of poor play against poor teams, i'm just not as confident as I was heading into that Miami game.

I'm hoping the Bengals are able to remember they haven't lost a game at home all season and want to keep that going.

Right now they are the #4 seed, but I would rather not see them host the Broncos in round one.

Then again, you never know how that might work out.

You'll feel it in a few days. I'm not saying it will be a lopsided win but they're going to take this game.

If the Bengals have the #4 seed, and there is a good chance that happens, I think it'll be against the Chiefs. I think the Broncos take that division.

If the Bengals can beat the Colts and I think they can, then they'd have that #3 seed and would probably play the Jets or the Chargers.

As for now, the Browns are in trouble. Yes, they've beaten the Bengals once, yes they just beat the Ravens. But look at this stat. Every AFCN team is undefeated at home in division play. Ravens 2-0, Browns 2-0, Steelers, 1-0, Bengals 1-0.

The Bengals are coming off a brutal stretch of road games and have lost the last 2 games by 3 points both in OT. The Browns have lost their last 3 of 4. Jason Campbell is their QB. We've got this.

Also consider...

The Browns play the last 4 of 7 games on the road.

@Cincinnati, @New England, @NYJ, and @Pittsburgh

They also play Chicago and Pittsburgh at home.

They can only afford to lose 2 more games to have a SHOT at the WC, let alone the division.

Someone please tell me that they are going to go 5-1 in that stretch (minus Jax) to get them to 10-6 and take the division....NOT HAPPENING.

The Browns entire SEASON comes down to a game in week 11. THAT IS NOT A GOOD SIGN FOR A TEAM. The Bengals win this game, put a stranglehold on the division and bury the Browns hopes.

BOOK IT!

If the Bengals can beat the Colts and I think they can,

I'm sure this was also what we thought about the opener at Chicago, the game in Cleveland, the game in Miami, and the game in Baltimore ....

Notice how all of those games were on the road. The Bengals play the Colts at home. December 1st and no dome treatment for the Colts.

My gut says we're in for another low-scoring affair like game 1. Both teams have legit defenses and questionable offenses. I think it will be on our D to rise up and give the offense some short field opportunities. As far as the offense, I will be happy if they just don't turn the ball over.

No feeling on how this goes but I hope hokie is right!

The Browns are 1-3 on the road with the win coming in Minnesota 34-27.

They are a different team on the road, as are the Bengals this year. The Bengals have more talent across the board on their offense to offset the Browns defense. Also, I like the chances of getting after Campbell with a rocking stadium.

People are f**king acting like the Browns are world beaters after going 1-3 in their last 4 games! They got clobbered by GB and Detroit. They played catch-up ball with KC. They are a mediocre team with NO running game! They're on their way up but not this year!

Back to earth for the Browns going to 4-6 and pretty much ending their playoff hopes.

The Bengals are the better team here. Let's not confuse things. Bengals take this game.

Don't get me wrong, hokie, I don't think Cleveland is all that. The problem is, right now, neither are the Bengals. The D has been battered by injury losses, and now the offense is feeling the pain (Gresh, Gio, Zeitler, Whit). O-line play has fallen off with a corresponding decline in our QB's performance. Oh, and we have an apparently brain-dead OC whose answer to 20-30 MPH winds is to throw the ball 50+ times. They are turning the ball over on offense too much and committing too many penalties on defense.

They can win, no doubt. But they need to pull their proverbial sht together. If they do, they should win going away. If they don't, we're in for another down-to-the-wire game.

I hear you. Though I think the defense is in worse shape injury wise yet still playing well. Zeitler hurts but I'd rather almost see a fresh Collins in there for Whitworth. Also, it might not hurt to get Pollack in there for Zeitler to get him some rest. The focus HAS to be on the O-line play this week. If it comes together, the Browns cannot win this game.

Yeah, I don't see it as having much to do with the Browns, but more to do with the Bengals current problems.

This is a Bengals team with enough talent to beat the likes of New England and Green Bay, but lose to the Browns, Dolphins, and Ravens.

I get those games are on the road, but teams with that kind of talent should also beat bad teams on the road.

There's no reason why that should have happened. None.

The AFCN should already be decided. This game really shouldn't even be what it is at this point.

Why the Bengals aren't at least 7-3 is crazy. I'd even argue 8-2.

Because the Bengals are not as good as the games against the Jets and the Patriots but they're also not as bad as the last 2 game suggest either.

This team sits in a desirable spot with 1.5 game lead and 4 of the last 6 at home. If they lose to the Browns, I'll temper my expectations. But this team will win the AFCN. No so much because they are that good but they are a better team all around than the Browns and Ravens.

Are we even having this conversation if the Bengals make a play in OT in Miami or Baltimore? The NFL is CRAZY! Remember Baltimore losing 4 of 5 at the end of the year last season?

Bengals will crush Cleveland. As horrific as they played the last 2 weeks. They lost in out on the road, against teams whose backs were against the wall. Finally the Bengals are back at home, where they will have their swagger. Sundays loss was gross, but sit tight. If they can get everyone in sync by playoffs. The Bengals could make a run. Dalton looks bad when he gets pressured. Just like Brady did VS Cincy. They crush Cleveland. ZERO doubt.

This is a HUGE game for the Browns. One of the biggest since our return. I've never seen everyone on our boards so excited. We actually have a chance at making the playoffs.

However I don't look forward to playing a desperate Cincy team. But I like the Browns (and their fans) new confidence. I thought for sure our D rankings would plummet after a few games into the season, they have not, and we are young (2nd youngest in the NFL) and have lots of cap room (36 big ones). If we actually land a qb in the draft, look out.

I can't believe I'm actually this excited watching Jason Campbell under center, even a Pitt fan came over and compared him to Jim Plunkett how he could possibly revitalize his career. You never know he really has been solid.

And I read earlier in this thread how we got crushed by GB and Detroit. Weeden started those 2 games, and he's bad.

We actually have real coaches now too! SO excited, get ready for a close close game.
