ArmyBengal Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 I've been saying it and will continue to do so.Get young RB that they can couple with Green and Dalton for years to come.No to Bradshaw, no to anyone else as well. Quote

Young, GOOD, RB. Not serviceable. Someone who is a sure playmaker. I'm hoping that comes in one of the first 3 picks. Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 No to Bradshaw, he is always hurt. They should draft a young RB or maybe try a guy like Reggie Bush.I would be up for Bush. He looked good last season. Quote

Don't go get someone older that will just get you by.Go get a young playmaker that will develop with the team. There are enough guys in this draft that would make me happy, so they need to get it done. I think they get it done at the draft. Between the Reds upcoming season and the Bengals offseaon, I'm pumped. I think there are some really good times ahead for Cincinnati fans. Quote
HoosierCat Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Trouble with RB in the draft is that they have not had much luck since 2001. All the good guys like Leonard and benson and BJGE were free agents. Quote

cHaD711Johnson Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 Need an impact Defensive guy with the 1st pick, whether it's a DE, OLB, or playmaking Safety. No project, someone who can be inserted immediately. I like Arthur Brown at that spot if he's available. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted February 7, 2013 Report Posted February 7, 2013 The Bengals also never drafted an OG in the first round before last year, but you won't see people complaining about Zeitler. If they simply use past success as a measure, the running game will always be an issue. Quote

All the good guys like Leonard and benson and BJGE were free agents.Yeah but if the Lions had that mindset they never would have drafted Calvin Johnson. If there were a Calvin Johnson equivalent at RB this year, I'd be all for it. But by all accounts, there isn't. And we are talking about a change-of-pace guy here, not a replacement for Green-Ellis (as much as some might wish that). So why not stick with free agency, where they have had success at the position (unlike, say, WR) and use your picks to fill bigger holes? The team needs starters at LB, SS, No. 2 wideout and possibly on both the OL and DL depending on how free agency shakes out. Quote

HoosierCat Posted February 18, 2013 Report Posted February 18, 2013 Back on the young RB front, Alabama RB Eddie Lacy hurt his hammy, will not work at the combine. Now hopes to go on 'bama's pro day March 13. Quote
