The Reds start a 4 game series tonight with the Cubs coming to town.

Saturday's game is a doubleheader.

The Reds have Arroyo, Cueto, and Latos taking the mound, but don't have listed who is pitching the 2nd game of the doubleheader.

Like I mentioned in the Mets thread, the Pirates and Cardinals start a 3 game series tonight, so the Reds need to take advantage of gaining some ground on one or the other, playing a Cubs team that has the 2nd worst road record in the whole league.

GO REDS !!!

The Pirates did beat the Cards last night 2-1.

Pirates stay 6 back and the Cards 8.

Now lets see the Cards win the next two against the Pirates while the Reds complete the sweep.

Both teams would be 8.5 back of the Reds since we have a doubleheader today.

This could be a very good day for the Reds. They beat the Cubbies in the first game of the double header, and the Cardinals are up on the Pirates 5-3!

It's weird as hell seeing someone new get a pitching start. Todd Redmond it is.

Looks like Mr. Redmond is getting his baptism of fire tonight. Cubs up 1-0.

I love me some Ryan Ludwick. When Joey gets back, let Phillips lead off and put Luddy at cleanup!

1-1

It looks like Chicago's pitcher doesn't have a lot of innings under his belt either.

F*CKING ONDRUSEK.

I can't stand that dude.

I can't say as I agree with the whole bringing Redmond up to start the 2nd game of a doubleheader either.

There are plenty of team that, when the situation may call for it, they only give a starter 4 days off.

It may have something to dowith not having another day off until the 30th of August, but I don't like it.

Every half game makes a difference in the standings.

I guess if that's the only thing to be irritated with, i'm doing ok.

Latos just needs to ensure the series win today.

If we split this series with the worst road team in the majors, I will be pissed.

Oh yeah, early start today.

Ondrusek's ERA is still in the low 3's. That makes him below average for a Reds reliever but still very decent overall.

You know how that goes. There are some players you like and some you dislike.

Ondrusek is one of the ones I dislike. Last night didn't help.
