Riding a 6 game winning streak, the Reds start a 3 game series against the Rockies tonight.

They have two night games with the Sunday final going at 1:10 EST.

In order: Cueto, Leake, and Latos take the mound.

The Rockies have been struggling lately, but I really hope the Reds aren't overlooking things right now and stay focused.

I really want to see this team remain a team that beats the teams they are supposed to beat.

I'll take beating the ones leading their division as well though !!!

GO REDS !!!

That seems kinda greedy, but I'll get in line behind that idea.

My point is, I want them to continue beating the teams the are suppose to beat and move forward from only that (like last year) to a team that is also capable of beating the likes a an Atlanta team that "WAS" leading their division. I just want to see a consistent move forward with this team.

If they can do that, the playoffs could be very interesting.

For now, lets just worry about taking care of the Rockies.

The rest will come...

No biggie. Thankfully, the Cards cooperated and dropped another one.

If nothing else, it was nice to see Votto go 4-4. A hot streak from him right about now would be highly appreciated.

Philly stepped up and whipped them in extra innings. I gave the standings a quick look this morning, and I see the Astros making a move. Only three back. Gotta keep an eye on those guys.

I would prefer the annually streaky Bruce to figure out how to follow a very good month with another as opposed to a very good month followed by an 0-30some streak. It seems like it happens all the time with him.

Bruce is definitely hard to figure out. He's impossible to get out for a time, and then he looks completely lost for a time. I've never seen someone so streaky.

Reds up 6-3 in the bottom of the 5th. Leake sucked, but Dusty got him out before it got out of control. Very nice to see Heisey get a homer and Bruce contribute anything (RBI double).

That's the way to come back after a crappy loss. Lay down the asswhooping.

10-3 in the 8th. B)

Let the fat lady sing. Time to restart another winning streak! What's even better is the Cards dropped another one to the Philly and Cincy is up a game and a half in the standings!

Chapman comes in early to clean up a mess left by Arredondo in the 8th. And he cleans it up painlessly against two of the best hitters in the NL. Money.

Chapman is money. Probably the best in the league. Let him close out geames!
