Stripes
Marshall was used as a lefty specialist in the 8th and it worked beautifully. Ondrusek almost gave up a 2-run bomb but we're safe.Chapman will close. I'm excited. I hope he can carry his setup dominance into the closing role seamlessly. I've never understood why that's so difficult for some pitchers.
Stripes
Chapman gets some help with a 2-run double by Ludwick. Hopefully he is finally getting out of his long slump, that's 3 hits today and a triple shy of the cycle.
Stripes
Save for an error it was a clean 9th. Chapman looked like he has all year.Great series win!

skyline
I think a good starter is always more useful than a good closer, but I'd be fine with trying Chapman at either slot. Agreed. Either start him or let him close out games. Anything else is wasting his potential. It's hard to figure out what Baker has in mind for Aroldis.I was happier with him as a setup man when they were putting him in there for 2 innings at a time, but I guess they ditched that idea pretty quickly.Anyway...2 of 3 from the Yankees was nice to see. Especially with 4 tough games against Atlanta starting tomorrow. If we can get through this nasty stretch of the schedule relatively unscathed, then I'm going to be very excited about what this team can do. If the Cardinals lose tonight the Reds are only a half game out of 1st! Thank God for that because there ain't jack s**t to talk about football wise. Stripes
They kept it too. Half a game back. Gotta play well at home, the Braves are tough.

Taking two out of three from the Yankees and splitting with the Mets was a decent road trip. Much better than I expected.
ArmyBengal
ANYTIME you can win a series with the Yankees IN New York has to be thought of as a good thing. If Homer can keep up his last two outings, it would be a tremendous help. Now lets get things done at home !!!
