Stripes Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 2-0 Brewers after the 1st. Bailey had to throw 42 pitches in the first inning, so I'm pretty worried about how he can hold up the rest of the game. I thought he actually pitched pretty well, but credit the Brewers for some fantastic plate discipline and for fouling off everything good. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Good Lord. Bailey ain't looking to good early. Reds down 2-1. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 I know people disagree, but I still don't like Bailey. Quote

Stripes Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 I think Bailey's doing awesome for a #4 this year. He's probably a goner tonight though, there's just no coming back from that first inning. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 Define "awesome" because I must be thinking of something else. Quote
skyline Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 Bailey was actually throwing some really solid pitches in the first inning. The first two batters kept fouling things off, though, which got his pitch count high and it all snowballed from there. Shame... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 9, 2012 Author Report Posted May 9, 2012 Maybe it's just the hype that surrounded him and having to now temper that to being happy that he's a "good #4".I still don't care for him and a pitcher that throws some good pitches that results in a loss is what ?? Quote

We'll see how it plays out. It's a loooooong season.Either way, here's hoping they pull the win out this afternoon. Another series win sure would be sweet. Quote

Stripes Posted May 9, 2012 Report Posted May 9, 2012 It makes no sense to have Marshall as the closer right now. Quote
