BengalPimp Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 He hasn't been Gronk but I still he has a chance to be that play maker,Offense was Terrible in 2010 and he had rookie QB in 2011...Now they have a entire offseason together with Gruden teaching them so I can only see offense getting better...More since our Oline got alot better.Absolutely agree. Even with that 2010 season and a rookie QB in 2011, Gresham still put up numbers that this club hasnt seen from a TE in well over a decade.....I think some people wont be happy unless he does something completely unrealistic like catch 100 passes or get 20 TD's....That said, I am going on record now as saying Gresham will be #2 in both receptions and yards on the Bengals. I'm saying 70-75 receptions for about 850 yards....and about 9 TD's Quote
BengalPimp Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 .....and mineif they draft another db, the player needs to be a two-way safetyJanoris Jenkins won't even be able to cover my old dead gramma from a jail cell or on nfl suspension. If you can get him in r6 or so, fine, take a flyer......and there it is..........what I have been waiting for......A reference about TJ's dead grandma and her skills...Phenomenal !!!!! Quote
derekshank Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Can't wait to point and tell you how wrong you were We're all Bengal fans here... so I'm hoping you get to do that as well. Quote

Besides, I'm not nearly that vindictive. If Kirkpatrick ends up being a beast for us, then we'll both be too busy cheering to remember that this exchange ever took place. Quote
BengalPimp Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Gonna chime in here again and say...... again.....I Like Dre Kirkpatrick.....Great Pick......I'm sure Zimmer feels the same..... Quote
COB Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 I'm not worried about his talent. I'm worried about his attitude. Will we ever learn to avoid prima donna, selfish players? Not sure if serious? Yea, I'm serious. I'm somewhat worried. His nickname at 'Bama was Swaga. He could just be a kid being a kid, and will take to the coaching in Cinci. Surely our D. Coordinator will not be shy in explaining what is expected. Pro Football Weekly's Nolan Nawrocki: "Not dependable. Has identity and entitlement issues. Can be lured by the trappings of the game and easily distracted. Will need to be managed closely." Quote
kingwilly Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 I think Kirkpatrick was a big reach at #17. He feels like a top 50 prospect to me... not a top 20 prospect. Time will tell.It will. Personally, I think I'd have to go back to Levi Jones to find a Bengals first round pick I was less excited about, and that worked out fairly well, at least for a few years.Unfortunately, I must go back only to Jermaine Gresham to find the last 1st round pick I was this disappointed by. And despite Gresham's large fan following here, he has not lived up to his draft status. He might not suck... but he's not the playmaker he was billed to be. He's been merely ok.And that's my fear for Kirkpatrick. You simply don't use the #17 overall pick on a player you expect to be an "ok" player in the NFL.Except for Green, I think ere has been a long string of disappointing r1 picks: fat Andre, Rivers, Gresham, Quote
Sea Ray Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 I think this was the pick that had to be made. I agree I dont think Kirkpatrick will be a star in the nfl, but I do think he will be a good nfl corner. And if Hall comes back healthy will give us a great 1-2. Honestly to me, he will be a Carlos Rogers type, and I wanted the Bengals to go hard after Rogers last season. Is Leon Hall a star? Arguably, he's not but he's been a worthy 1st rd pick. Seems to me his critics also complained about his speed and ability when we drafted him. I think Dre is Zimmer's kind of guy and further, you're not going to get sure thing-shut down corners that late in the 1st rd Quote
Sea Ray Posted April 27, 2012 Report Posted April 27, 2012 Except for Green, I think ere has been a long string of disappointing r1 picks: fat Andre, Rivers, Gresham,We have 4 Pro Bowlers from the past 2 drafts. I don't think we can ask for more than that. No other team can boast that Quote

DId you read his interview with Bengals.com? Fans gave him that nickname. That scouting report goes against most other reports that I've seen about him. Pleased with the pick, and I would not have wanted some of these other guys such as Trumaine Johnson or Josh Robinson over him. Quote
