kenyon1977
So seeing the guys leave over the past few days I was wondering how many guys have left the minute their initial contracts were up and they could get real money from other teams and excellent coaching that got them to the next level. Dillon? , Justin Smith, Spikes, etc etc. What do y'all think? Guys that if FO would have played for now instead of the future could have gotten the boys in orange and black to the playoffs. HoosierCat
Dillon got a new deal. It was during those negotiations that the infamous "I'd rather flip burgers" line was uttered, IIRC.

Once he left he was not as effective as he was here.
Stripes
Dillon had the best season of his career in New England.
wpeldios
He had one big season in new england yes. But he did not get coached up to the next level after leaving. He had 6 1100+ yard seasons and 2 1400+ yard seasons before injuries+rudi johnson made him replacable. He really doesnt fit in with the people mentioned in this thread.
