wpeldios
Working off memory and quite tired so i may be wrong but i believe If you are talking first round its ki jana. If you are talking just traded up I believe it was Matt Schobel.
ArmyBengal
I know there is a history of how things have been handled in the past, whether we are talking FA or draft strategies, but I see this year as being different for two very big reasons. #1. They have more money to spend capwise then they have had in quite a long time.#2. They have to do something to get fans back to the stadium.Something has to give. There is simply no way fans are going to come back to the stadium to watch this team, knowing they had a ton of cash to spend in FA and picks to makes moves in the draft, but did nothing. Look at last season as proof. They had to give tickets away just to get a sellout heading into the playoffs. While I will certainly come to the games and did last year, I don't speak for the whole that feels quite indifferent to the situation. Make even a moderate move in FA to free up the draft and at least be solid in the picks or make a move ANYWHERE to get some higher quality players. With two firsts and two fifths, something can be done somewhere. Oh yeah, we will have at least two seconds next draft as well, so we will be ok. HoosierCat
FWIW, Mike Mayock thinks that Trent is a top 10 talent, but thinks he could fall out of the first ten picks because the RB position has been devalued. So maybe he does make it to 13.
ArmyBengal
I agree with the thought of Trent being top 10, but not going there.Along the same lines as why we took Green early last year and waited for a QB until later. I think teams would rather address other needs that early, knowing they could get a capable back early in the 2nd. I think that is where the run on RB's begins.I would love nothing more than to see Richardson end up in stripes...
DC_Bengals_Fan
FWIW, Mike Mayock thinks that Trent is a top 10 talent, but thinks he could fall out of the first ten picks because the RB position has been devalued. So maybe he does make it to 13.That's why I don't really want to see the team give away much to take a guy who plays what has become a commodity position. 13 isn't too bad, but it's hard to see a lot higher than that, to me. Kazkal
Come on. There is a reason discuss everything. We have 8 week and 1 day until the draft. The guy is a stud. You can't tell me there wasn't a difference between AJ Green and Jerome Simpson. Richardson has Green type talent. It's tempting.I worded that badly. I didnt mean there is no reason for us to discuss it. I meant its not worth the Bengals making a trade with the Cardinals until the draft. Seems like a lot of work for something that most likely wont happen. I would 100% support it though, Richardson is a stud. ...........A.P,ray rice, gore, lynch, mccoy, turner, jackson etc would like to have a word about that
Kazkal
Ps,know response will be how many were top ten but sometimes for truly amazing players like green gotta get em early make sure get em vs hoping find a diamond bucket of rocks
ArmyBengal
Many people here were against drafting Green last year for the same reason. WR's can be found later in the draft. While that may be true, people know a stud player when they see them.Richardson is that kind of player. While I think it would next to impossible to see them trading up into the top 10, if (maybe a big IF) he were to fall down to #13, those chances would drastically increase and something I would absolutely be thrilled to no end to see happen. ArmyBengal
Well since the front office doesn't want to pay players, maybe they should trade picks way to move up in the first. That way they wouldn't have to pay all those draft picks.... I just do not believe for a second he will be there beyond the top 7 or 8 picks. I think he is too good and will never be there for us. ArmyBengal
I think he "may" be there beyond 10, but based on talent, shouldn't be.Mark Ingram started over Richardson for 2 seasons and how far did he fall last year ??So while I may not think it's going to happen, it's not out of the question either. After FA settles and teams have made moves that will adjust the direction they go in for the first round, we will be able to see how much of a chance there is for this happening.
