combatbengal Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Football season is over and now we get to speculate on who we’ll get in the draft which is two months away. I have the Verizon Motorola Zoom, which is almost like an IPAD and I found something that may help me get through this off season. Now the zoom has aps that you can download and I found a really cool game to play. It was only .99c! It’s called NFL kicker. Basically you’re a kicker who kicks field goals and punts the ball. The cool thing about it is that you choose an NFL team (you know I'm a Bengal!), your number and name for your jersey. The graphics are awesome! The game puts you in different situations, kicking with and without wind, punting with and without wind, etc. One level, your object is to punt the ball out of bounds as close to the goal line as possible. Another is to try to hit the uprights as a place kicker. Any ways, I highly recommend the game if its offered in one of your aps for your cell phone, IPAD, etc. Here is a website to check it out https://market.android.com/details?id=com.fullfat.android.nflkickerAnother cool games for soccer fans is football kicks. This one was free and it's addictive and fun as well. Check it out here https://market.android.com/details?id=com.distinctivegames.footballkicks Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 Personally I'll stick with the real stuff. Major league baseball, Nascar, and NCAA hoops.I'm old school. Quote

BengalszoneBilly Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 I'm doing that too!!I would hope you would be. Sporting life doesn't end with the Superbowl. We just take a brief respite, enjoy other sports, and eagerly await the draft in April. Quote

ArmyBengal Posted February 8, 2012 Report Posted February 8, 2012 OVER ?? NOTHING'S OVER UNTIL WE SAY IT'S OVER !!!Anyway, that stuff sounds cool. However, it will have to wait. The combine is about to begin, then there will be free agency, and the draft. You guys know me well enough to know how much I love this time of the year !!! Quote

Last year sucked. I was sweating the combine, and didn't have much hope with all of the nonsense the team was going through. I'm starting another thread for the combine. Check it out. We can suggest and get tips on what to look for. Quote

Can't freaking wait !!! Quote
Scottishbengal Posted February 10, 2012 Report Posted February 10, 2012 A large part of my off-season will be spent eagerly awaiting the fixtures/dates to be announced (Bengals v NYG in the season opener??) so that I can then cost out a possible trip over yonder. In that time I will look at destinations.....routes between cities and possible sights/itineraries to fill a week between a PBS game and a road game...checking out driving distances, hotels, beer stops, sussing out opponents and trying to surmise what match be a good game or two to catch, etc etcNot everybodys way to pass the time, but I'll enjoy it nonetheless !!! kayaker0678 Posted February 13, 2012 Report Posted February 13, 2012 Well you could start to follow the "other" football team in Cincy. the Cincy Commandos are in a new league (UIFL uiflfootball.com) This league should present them with some stiff competition. Games start March 3rd against Johnstown. They have only lost one game in the last two years and are back to back champions. Quote
Scottishbengal Posted February 14, 2012 Report Posted February 14, 2012 Is this is what is/was known as "arena ball"???A bit early in the year for getting to see a game in the flesh but may be interesting to see on-line ........ are these matches shown on tv/web at all ???? Quote
