walzav29
The Bengals go 3-0 and the Jets lose to Miami in the last week. Depends on the players giving up on the season, or playing hard for the new guy.
cincyhokie
I'd like to add, it'd be good for the Steelers to lose against the 49ers and the Ravens to win the next 2 games. This could make the Bengals/Ravens game irrelevent for the Ravens. If the Ravens have something to play for against us, I think they'll steamroll this team. volcom69
More playoffs talk, can we just let the games play out. I guess im just tired of getting my hopes up, so i think just play this game by game anymore.
walzav29
God. We can't TALK about the playoffs? What the hell is the point of the site? Are we so beaten down that the mere mention of playoffs generates such high hopes of unrealistic expectations? COME ON PEOPLE! We're winning 7 straight and going to the Super Bowl. We kill the Rams, beat ARZ in OT, beat the Ravens by a field goal. Jets lose to the Eagles and Giants. Then we play Houston and win the rematch, Pittsburgh rolls the Broncos. We go to NE and win 17 - 13. Then the Steelers beat the Ravens. We go to Pittsburgh and avenge the 2 losses this season 14 - 13. We play the Packers in the SB. We get luck and win 24 - 20Cincinnati Bengals Super Bowl Champions!
Arkansas Bengal
I'd much rather talk about playoffs than the dead cat bounce that we usually talk about this time of year...
derekshank
God. We can't TALK about the playoffs? What the hell is the point of the site? I'm with you. Yes... the last 5 weeks have been incredibly discouraging... but the Bengals are still in the race. Maybe they don't deserve to be, but they are. And unless they s**t the bed against the Rams and Cardinals, they'll still be in the race come week 17. I'm not ready to forget how much fun this team has been to watch. And in that spirit, I'm also not ready to stop hoping that we'll get to watch them play in an extra game or two in January.

Sure, I'll always hold out hope as long as it's mathematically possible. I just don't get too excited in talking about it when I'm far more concerned with them going out against a bad team this week and showing that they might still actually deserve a shot at the playoffs. I just don't get too excited I think most Bengal fans find themselves in the same boat. A lot of the excitement was destroyed when TJ Yates kicked the Bengal fanbase in the nuts. That said... there's no reason to piss in Walzav's cheerios just because he recovers from ruptured testicles faster than the average fan. A lot of the excitement was destroyed when TJ Yates kicked the Bengal fanbase in the nuts.I think the board should adopt a policy of not bringing this up again. Ever.Auto-ban?I still get queasy every time it's mentioned. To make it worse, I ate some bad chinese food during the game and ended up puking my brains out all night. So, the two events are forever linked in my mind and the more time I put between myself and last weekend, the better.

A solid nut-kicking provides the same results... and avoids conspiracy theories about how the Chinese intend to take over the world.
walzav29
Now that I'm a tweeter nerd, I've learned that the players are focusing on St. Louis. Which is what I'm doing as well. The reason I'm focusing on a week 15 game against the s**tty Rams. IS BECAUSE WE'RE FIGHTING for a playoff spot. I want it, I want it, I want it, I want it@!!!!! derekshank
I also have to agree that a Ravens team with something on the line flogs the Bengals like rented mules. The Bengals were without AJ Green and Carlos Dunlap the last time they played the Ravens, and were still a Calvin Johnson rule away from taking the Ravens into overtime... @ Baltimore.I understand that what we've witnessed in the last two weeks is enough to make most of us feel like this team and that team bear no resemblance... but it's the same team. The Bengals have the ability to take Baltimore's best shot and win... much less avoid being beated like red-headed step children (regardless of Andy Dalton's family dynamic). HoosierCat
That said... there's no reason to piss in Walzav's cheerios just because he recovers from ruptured testicles faster than the average fan.Well, Walter can gin up all the scenarios he wants, but as his current project does not include me getting a pony, I simply can't support it. volcom69
Look we can talk playoffs all you want, all i was saying is im not going to get excited about it yet. I want to see them play these last 3 games before i would even think about playoffs. I guess i just dont want to get to excited only to get let down, hell they were 6-2, all they had to do was win 1 or 2 games down the stretch they would have it.....and now!! So they far did exceed my expectaions, but they had the playoffs in there grasp and they let it go.
