cincyhokie
That kid needs to consider becoming a Browns fan, that is all they ever do when they dont win. It was the refs fault!!P.S. Learn how to wear a fricking hat, son.I was thinking the same thing. Bills fans remind me of Browns fans. "I hate the Bengals. You guys f**king suck. Seriously, nobody likes you." -favorite quote
Spor_tees
How do you feel about Gresham today, Hair? Better, obviously....mostly because Gresham finally stopped s**tting his own pants. But also because a 1st round TE should be capable of making a play now and then.I wouldn't say the Browns shut Gresham down, he had 6 catches for 58 yards and a TD. By far a larger contribution than any tight end from recent years past. Even in the San Fran game he had 4 catches for 50 yards, which is far from invisible, and you have to take into account how bad Dalton played that day.So as I score it, he has had 2 bad games and 2 good games. In fact I made a point to watch him blocking more this week instead of watching the ball carrier and he did a much better job sealing the corner. Like I stated in the actual game thread, he seems to do much better at doing a cross block with the tackle, or cracking down inside on a LB. Straight up blocking an end and performing turn blocks, are not in his forte just yet.It seems like it was much easier to point out Gresham's shortcomings because he was a first round draft pick, than to praise his progress. Hair you have to remember this is only his second year in the league, AND he missed his entire Senior year in college.

In fact, I previously mentioned Gresham's receiving skills as a potential key in overcoming the loss of Shipley coupled with the expected loss of Benson and Simpson. But there's the rub because Gresham was struggling as a weapon if dropped passes and incorrect routes are factored into the equation. And if some of you refuse to acknowledge those things, as well as his blocking woes, all we're left with is empty stats that imply Gresham is better than he's actually been. (Crap stats.) Plus, I have no problem with your description of his blocking in the Buffalo game. It was improved....in part because the Bengals reduced the number of plays where Gresham was asked to do more than block down on a DE. Because as you imply, he fails outright as a straight up blocker, but he can be effective when blasting into a DE's ribs from the side. Sea Ray
So yeah, there's your mea culpa. Now take it and shove it directly up your ass with both hands. Thanks for not disapointing and for not giving Gresham kudos for a good game. It's exactly what I expected out of you. Regardless of what happened or didn't happen at the line of scrimmage, Gresham's play in keeping his feet in bounds and coming down with the ball involves athleticism that you can't coach. It's what makes him gifted and I was glad to see it pay off in a win for this team. Sorry you don't agree. I don't think we win that game if Reggie Kelly is our TE. HairOnFire
Who is saying tom-a-to, and who is saying tom-ah-to? To my knowledge veggies aren't being discussed by anyone. But amongst the things SeaRay is claiming is Rob Gronkowski, a far more productive player, couldn't have made same the TD catch that Gresham just managed. Obviously SeaRays claim is baseless, speculative, and worthless. It may also qualify as being quite stupid, but I leave that for others to decide.
