A former Cincinnati Bengals player has been indicted on felony assault charges stemming from incident in the parking lot at the Mason Police Department.Carl D. Powell, 37, Mason, was indicted Friday by a Warren County grand jury on felony charges of assault and obstructing official business as well as a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest. The indictments were publicly released on Monday.Warren County Prosecutor David Fornshell said Powell was upset when he arrived June 1 at the police station and officers parking lot.He said officers went out to the parking lot and saw Powell yelling at a vehicle carrying his wife and children.When police tried to calm Powell down, he engaged into an altercation with five officers, Fornshell said.
