BengalszoneBilly Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Jay Bruce has been on fire the last few days. His homer tonight gives the Reds a big lead. Reds up 5-0 in the 5th. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 31, 2011 Author Report Posted May 31, 2011 Nice finish against the brew crew tonight! Reds win 7-3! We have to at least hold 2nd place in the division when June rolls around. Quote
redsbengalsbucks Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Nice finish against the brew crew tonight! Reds win 7-3! We have to at least hold 2nd place in the division when June rolls around. It wont happen the Reds are still 1.5 games back of the Brewers, with Reineke going against Greinke. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 31, 2011 Report Posted May 31, 2011 Bruce is just playing crazy good right now. They just need to keep their focus.I'm glad that road trip is over !!! Quote
rwalling Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 The pitching staff simply must get healthy. They also appear to be a bat short, either left field or shortstop must be improved for a legitimate run. Rolen still isn't right and without that this offense is simply not good enough. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 I agree with you completely Walls. It would be nice to see the team play more consistent as opposed to seeing one player getting hot at a time.I'm happy to see Bruce playing the way he is, but he can't be the only one. Rolen appeared to be gimping around last night, but who knows ??I won't be truly worried until after the break. This team is still more than capable and the season is very long. Quote
Stripes Posted June 1, 2011 Report Posted June 1, 2011 Bruce might be the NL MVP right now. The Reds need to win more for that to be a serious possibility though. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 1, 2011 Author Report Posted June 1, 2011 The Reds constantly playing catch up after the 1st damn inning is really getting old for me... Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 2, 2011 Author Report Posted June 2, 2011 Jay Bruce seems to be the only Reds player trying out there. Just hit a two run shot to make it a one run game! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted June 2, 2011 Author Report Posted June 2, 2011 VOTTO!!! Joey follows Jay with a two run shot of his own! Reds lead 4-3! Quote
ArmyBengal Posted June 2, 2011 Report Posted June 2, 2011 Wow, Bruce and Votto with homers to pull the game and series out against the Brewers.Very nice. Maybe they can build off of a come from behind win late in the game !!!GO REDS !!! Quote
