BengalszoneBilly Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Dudes... Cueto is throwing a one hitter against one of the best hitting teams in the league! Reds up 4-0! Quote
Stripes Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Oh boy. Two consecutive errors by Janish and Rolen lead to a 3 run homer by Jay. 5-3 Reds in the 8th. Quote
Stripes Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Thank God, Ondrusek got out of it without anymore damage being done. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 14, 2011 Author Report Posted May 14, 2011 Wow this team really has some depth. I think i've said that before, but it's awesome.Another thing, can someone please tell Dusty to throw Heisey out there in left ??I'm about sick of seeing Gomes and his sub .200 average, not to mention his terrible arm.Give him a little break from it all. Quote
Stripes Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 The Reds get two back in the bottom of the eighth, 7-3.Agreed, Army. Gomes was getting walked earlier in the season but now he is contributing essentially nothing. Heisey needs to start. Quote
Stripes Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Cordero closes it out quietly and the Reds win the series. Hell yes! It's Wood vs. Carpenter tomorrow. That'll be tough. Quote

Sea Ray Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Johnny Cueto needs to save the film of his last two starts. That is pitching. Isn't fun to do this to St Louis? Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 14, 2011 Report Posted May 14, 2011 Isn't fun to do this to St Louis? It's sweet. Quote
semiotter Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 YEAH!!! To heck with the game!!....nice sig Billy....lol...oh yeah Go Reds.... Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 15, 2011 Author Report Posted May 15, 2011 It's nice to have the problems we do with talent in our pitchers. It wasn't that long ago, we couldn't figure out anything after our #1 and #2.It's great to be able to do this to the Cards and I'm really hoping for the sweep today. I'm really happy we will get the series win, but I really am hoping we can put something on Carpenter who usually owns the Reds. It would just be the icing on the cake for the series and allow us to stay in first. Quote
ArmyBengal Posted May 15, 2011 Author Report Posted May 15, 2011 Oh yeah, I hated to see Leake get sent down, but is anyone else as excited and hopeful to see what we might have in Arredondo ??I am tempering my expectations (especially when looking at Volquez) but he was dominant prior to surgery and isn't a starter. If he could just give us a solid couple of innings out of the bullpen, it could be really special. BengalszoneBilly Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Oh man... Wood is getting shelled early. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Damn! Another dinger for Hernandez! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 YESSS!!!! Reds lead 3-2 playing small ball! Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 6-2 REDS!!!! Let's wrap up this sweep!!! Quote
cincyhokie Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Question: Will the Reds lose another game?Discuss. Quote
Stripes Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 I didn't realize the game was so early today. Looks like the Reds made the Cardinals their bitches this series, holy s**t. Quote
BengalszoneBilly Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 WTF!?! The reds are scaring me now! Quote
Sea Ray Posted May 15, 2011 Report Posted May 15, 2011 Let's hope Dusty learned a very valuable lesson today. He almost blew it for us Quote
